Course elevations: Torres Blancas golf: rates, access and tee times in Green Valley

Torres Blancas golf is a public Lee Trevino course in the middle of Green Valley, about 40 minutes south of downtown Tucson. Rates are dynamic rather than fixed, and the green fee includes the cart, tax and practice green. GolfNow prepaid rounds with cart ran $18.99 to $24.99 in September 2026, among the lowest 18-hole prices in the area.

That combination of price and access makes Torres Blancas a staple for Green Valley snowbirds and a good value pick for visitors heading south toward Tubac. This guide covers who can play, how pricing works, what is included and when to go.

Who can play Torres Blancas golf

Anyone. Torres Blancas is a public course, and the club's home page carries the label "Public Course." You can book online through the club's tee-time page or by phone, and GolfNow resold 18-hole times for September 2026. No booking window is published, so for a February or March morning, call early and ask how far ahead the sheet opens.

There is no membership requirement and no resident rate in our research. The club runs a restaurant, golf instruction and clinics, and group outings. It is the sister course of Canoa Ranch, and the site footer carries The Walden Group logo.

Torres Blancas rates and what they include

The club's rates page, read on October 26, 2026, lists no fixed rates. It says prices change in real time with demand. Here is what we did find:

Item Price Notes
18 holes with cart, GolfNow Hot Deal$18.99-$24.99September 2026, plus GolfNow fee and tax; $10 non-refundable deposit
Rental clubs$25 (9) / $40 (18)Club rates page
Non-golfer rider$22Club rates page
Range balls$5 a bucket35 to 40 balls

Prices change, and the GolfNow listings are September 2026 deals. Because pricing is dynamic, the sensible move is to compare the club site with GolfNow before booking, since the club does not publish how its prices move by day or time.

For context on the area, Haven ran $44.99 with cart on GolfNow for October 18, 2026, and San Ignacio's late-October 2026 rates were mostly $51 to $72. Our cheap golf in Tucson and Tucson golf rates guides compare the wider area.

The course

Torres Blancas is a desert-edge course with three lakes, many bunkers and undulating greens, according to the club. The five tee sets span more than 2,000 yards, from 7,111 at the back to 5,010 at the front, so it works for long hitters and higher handicappers alike. Our research did not find USGA ratings or slopes, a Google rating or turf details.

Our take: a low-cost public Trevino layout in the middle of Green Valley, with lakes and big greens. It is not a destination resort round, but the prices we saw were among the lowest in the area.

Green Valley nights are cold in winter. NOAA normals put the January low at 36.1F in Green Valley, against 40.8F at Tucson's airport, so frost delays are common. Call the Frost and Heat Index line, 520-352-1082, before you drive. The same line covers heat in summer, when June highs average about 99.8F in Green Valley.

No overseed dates are published. Most Tucson-area courses overseed with rye from mid-to-late September into October, so check by phone before an early-fall round. See Tucson golf overseed and best time to golf in Tucson.

Practice and extras

The practice green is included in the green fee, and range balls are $5 a bucket. The club offers instruction and clinics, a restaurant and group outings. For a snowbird group, ask about clinics in your first week; for a buddies trip, the restaurant makes it an easy finishing round.

If you are staying in Tucson for a short trip, Torres Blancas works best as part of a south-side day: a morning round here and an afternoon in Tubac village, or a second round at Canoa Ranch. Remember that Arizona stays on Mountain Standard Time all year, so in winter it is one hour ahead of California and Las Vegas.

Torres Blancas for beginners and mixed groups

The five tee sets help a mixed group: the 5,010-yard forward tees suit beginners and higher handicappers, while the 7,111-yard back tees give stronger players a full test. Rental clubs ($25 for 9, $40 for 18) mean a visiting partner need not fly with a bag, and a non-golfer can ride along for $22. Clinics and lessons are offered if someone wants help before a bigger resort round.

Pairing Torres Blancas with nearby courses

Torres Blancas fits well in a Green Valley rotation. Haven is the walkable traditional course, Canoa Ranch the sister desert course with bent greens, and San Ignacio the Arthur Hills layout on the west side. Our Green Valley AZ golf guide compares them all, and the Canoa Ranch golf guide covers the sister club.

More detail is in the Torres Blancas course guide and the Canoa Ranch course guide.
