San Ignacio golf in Green Valley is open and selling public tee times: GolfLink showed 91 bookable times for October 27, 2026. It is a semi-private Arthur Hills desert course from 1989, a par 72 of 6,772 yards from the Black tees. Late-October 2026 rates for 18 ran $41.88 to $71.61, more than double the September deals.
Status questions come up because the course went through a water-shutoff closure years ago, and because its former sister course, Canoa Hills, is now a park. This guide covers where San Ignacio stands, what it costs and how it fits a Green Valley rotation.

The course
San Ignacio is a desert layout with mountain views on the west side of Green Valley. The club site gives yardages from 5,200 to 6,718 across its tees; the only rated set we found is the Black at 6,772 yards, 71.6 and 135. That slope is well above Haven, which rates 124 from its 6,905-yard Blue tees.
The signature hole is the 13th, a 522-yard par 5 played from raised tees. There is a driving range, GPS carts, and the Coyote Grill for lunch after the round. The club hosts events and sells Stay & Play packages.
Our take: an Arthur Hills desert course open to the public with an online tee sheet. Expect about $50 to $70 in late fall; summer and prepaid deals run far lower.
No overseed dates were published. Most Tucson-area courses overseed in mid-to-late September into October, so call before an early-fall round. See Tucson golf overseed.
Canoa Hills: the old course next door
Canoa Hills, once called San Ignacio North, closed about 2013. The owner donated its 130 acres to Pima County, approved 4-1 in 2018, and the Regional Flood Control District took over in late 2019. It is now Canoa Hills Trails, a county open-space park with 5.5 miles of paved walking loops.
Older listings still show Canoa Hills green fees. They are out of date. And Canoa Hills is not the same as Canoa Ranch, the open public course further south. Our closed golf courses in Tucson guide covers it with the others.
