Orlando golf in March means peak season: about 79F by day, mostly dry, and the busiest month of the year, with snowbirds, US spring breaks, Canadian March break and the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill (March 15-21, 2027) all overlapping. Green fees are at their highest, so book tee times and rooms early, or wait for late April.

Orlando golf in March: why it is the busiest month

March stacks every demand on Orlando at once. Snowbirds are in their peak weeks, US college and school spring breaks run through March and early April, Ontario and Quebec families come for March break (2027 dates not verified here), and Easter falls on March 28, 2027 (Good Friday March 26). On top of that, the Arnold Palmer Invitational moved to March 15-21, 2027, two weeks later than usual, so the tour stop now lands in the most crowded stretch of the year.

For golfers, Orlando golf in March means peak green fees, morning tee times that sell out as soon as windows open, and the year's highest park crowds and room rates. Public courses near Disney go fast. If you have to come in March, book everything early; if you can move, the second half of April has similar weather with fewer people.

February to April weather

Spring green fees, course by course

The Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill

The Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard is Orlando's biggest golf event, played at Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodge. The 2027 tournament week is March 15-21, with competition rounds March 18-21 per the PGA Tour; one resale listing gave a different date, which every other source contradicts.

Two things matter for a golf trip:

• You cannot play Bay Hill that week. The Championship course closes to members and Lodge guests for tournament week and set-up. The rest of the year, the courses are open only to members and Lodge guests; see Bay Hill golf.
• The south-west side fills up. Dr. Phillips and Windermere roads and hotels fill during tournament week. Base elsewhere, or book very early.

Other spring events that move prices

• LPGA Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, February 4-7, 2027, at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, the LPGA season opener with a celebrity division. Lake Nona is private, so the event is the only way most visitors see it. Lake Nona hotels fill; there is little effect elsewhere.
• Presidents' Day weekend, February 13-15, 2027, with many northern school breaks around it: a park-crowd and room-rate spike in the middle of golf peak season.
• Spring breaks and Easter, through March and into early April: peak park crowds and room rates, with Canadian families adding to snowbird demand for vacation homes in Kissimmee and Davenport.

How to get tee times in peak season

Getting on the course for Orlando golf in March takes planning:

• Book on the day windows open. Disney opens 90 days ahead and Orange County National's insiders say to book January-April mornings early. See Orlando tee times.
• Spread your rounds. Panther Lake at Orange County National and Crooked Cat are 20-25 minutes from the Disney parks via SR 429. Public courses near Disney go fast in spring, so look further out too, to Davenport or St. Cloud.
• Use twilight. Disney's twilight is about 45% off and super twilight about 60% off; Providence is $99 after 3 pm in February-March.
• Check maintenance days. Winter Park Golf Course and Winter Park Pines each close about one day a month for maintenance; only the 2026 calendar was published when we read the city pages, so check the 2027 list before you book.
• Allow for traffic. I-4 near the parks routinely adds 15-45 minutes at rush hour and around park opening and closing.

Late April: the smart alternative

After Easter, snowbirds head north and rates step down through the month. April averages about 84F by day with about 6 rain days, and the second half of the month is very good golf weather. Providence's summer card starts on April 1, and Disney's spring pricing (about 20% below peak) runs March 22 to May 31, 2027.
