Orlando golf events 2026-27: the tournaments and park weeks that move prices

Orlando golf events for 2026-27 start with the PNC Championship at Grande Lakes (December 14-20, 2026), then the PGA Show (January 26-29, 2027), the LPGA's season opener at Lake Nona (February 4-7) and the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill (March 15-21). Park holidays and spring breaks move green fees and room rates even more than the tournaments do.

This guide lists the Orlando golf events that matter to a visiting golfer: the tournaments, what each does to the courses and hotels near it, and the park weeks to plan around. Dates come from the PGA Tour, LPGA, PGA Show and tournament pages, read in November 2026; where sources differ, we say so.

Orlando golf events calendar, 2026-27

The Arnold Palmer Invitational

Orlando's biggest golf event, the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard, plays at Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodge. The 2027 tournament week is March 15-21, two weeks later than usual per the official announcement, with competition March 18-21 per the PGA Tour. One resale listing gave March 7, which conflicts with every other source.

Bay Hill closes to members and Lodge guests for tournament week and set-up, and Dr. Phillips and Windermere roads and hotels fill. Because of the date change, the event now lands on top of spring breaks and Canadian March break, the most crowded stretch of the year. The rest of the year, the Bay Hill Championship course is open only to members and Lodge guests; Bay Hill golf explains how that works.

The tournament has deep roots in Orlando. Palmer, Trevino, Boros and Irwin won the Florida Citrus Open at Rio Pinar, the forerunner of the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Rio Pinar sells daily green fees, so you can play the old venue.

The PNC Championship

The PNC Championship pairs major champions with a family member in a team event run by PGA Tour Champions and the PGA Tour. It plays at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando, Grande Lakes, with event week December 14-20, 2026 per the PGA Tour and competition December 17-20 per The Golf Wire. The course closes to guest play around the event, and The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes and the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes fill. The Golf Wire also reports the course reopened on November 1, 2026 after a regrassing project.

The PGA Show

The PGA Show is the golf industry's trade show and is not open to the public. Demo Day is Tuesday, January 26, 2027 at Orange County National Golf Center, whose courses and range are taken over, and the exhibit hall runs January 27-29 at the Orange County Convention Center on International Drive. Tens of thousands of industry visitors (no attendance figure was read) fill International Drive, Universal-area and Grande Lakes hotels. For a visiting golfer, that means booking rooms early or basing elsewhere that week, and not planning Crooked Cat or Panther Lake on January 26.

The LPGA at Lake Nona

The Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, the LPGA season opener with a celebrity division, plays at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club on February 4-7, 2027, per the LPGA schedule and HGV's release; HGV's ticket page says February 1-7, which likely includes pro-am and ticket-package days. Lake Nona is private, so the event is the only way most visitors see it. Lake Nona hotels fill, with little effect elsewhere. The club has a long tournament history, including the 1990 Solheim Cup and the 1993 World Cup of Golf.

Other tour history you can play

Not every piece of tour history is behind a gate; two former venues of Orlando golf events are public:

• Disney's Magnolia is a former PGA Tour venue (the Walt Disney World Golf Classic, later the Children's Miracle Network event), bookable by anyone 90 days ahead. Note it is closed December 1-18, 2026 for overseeding.
• Crooked Cat at Orange County National hosted LIV Golf Orlando in March 2023, and is a public course.

Park events that move prices

For the price of a trip, park weeks often matter more than Orlando golf events. Room prices follow the theme-park calendar and conventions more than golf. The most expensive weeks are Christmas-New Year, Thanksgiving week, Presidents' Day week, US spring breaks and Canadian March break through Easter, and summer weekends. The cheapest are late August to September, early December and most of January outside holiday weekends. In the fall, Universal's Halloween Horror Nights and EPCOT's Food & Wine Festival lift Universal-area and Disney hotel rates on event nights (2026 dates not verified). Camping World Stadium traditionally hosts the Citrus Bowl on New Year's Day, which brings traffic west of downtown.
