Naples golf events 2026-27: the tour stops, spring training and dates that move prices

Naples golf events cluster in two bursts: the LPGA and PGA Tour stops at Tiburon from November to February, and spring training in Fort Myers from mid-February into March. Add the snowbird season, art festivals and Easter, and you have the dates that fill hotels and tee sheets. Here is the 2026-27 calendar and what each event does to a golf trip.

The Naples golf events calendar for 2026-27

The three tour events at Tiburon

All three of the area's tour-level Naples golf events are at Tiburon Golf Club in North Naples, two Greg Norman courses wrapped around The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburon. Its guests, and guests of the sister beach hotel, book tee times with their rooms; whether other visitors can book in season was not confirmed.

CME Group Tour Championship. The LPGA season finale, on Tiburon's Gold course on November 19-22, 2026, with pro-am events on November 17-18. The Gold closes to resort play for tournament week and setup, the Ritz-Carlton and nearby North Naples hotels fill, and Vanderbilt Beach Road and Livingston Road traffic is heavy.

Grant Thornton Invitational. A mixed PGA Tour and LPGA team event on the Gold on December 11-13, 2026, per ticket listings and RTE's schedule. It succeeds the QBE Shootout, which Tiburon hosted for many years. When the Gold is closed, the Black usually carries resort play, though that was not confirmed for 2026.

Chubb Classic. A PGA Tour Champions event on Tiburon's Black course, listed for February 11-14, 2027 on ticket pages; the four days likely include the pro-am, with the 54-hole event normally Friday to Sunday. The 2026 edition was February 13-15. It is the area's biggest public golf event, and it lands on Valentine's Day and Presidents' Day weekend, so North Naples hotels and restaurants are at peak demand. Confirm dates at chubbclassic.com.

Spring training in Fort Myers

Two major league teams train in Fort Myers, and both open on February 19, 2027:

• Boston Red Sox at JetBlue Park, beside RSW on Daniels Parkway. The first game is an exhibition against Northeastern, with 15 Grapefruit League home games; NESN lists Florida games through March 17 against the Yankees, before exhibitions at Oracle Park on March 22-23. One outlet noted 2027 labor uncertainty could affect the schedule.
• Minnesota Twins at Hammond Stadium, Lee Health Sports Complex on Six Mile Cypress Parkway. The home opener is against Tampa Bay, with 15 home games of 30, and the regular season opens March 25, 2027.

New England and Upper Midwest fans, many of them snowbirds, fill Fort Myers, Gateway and Estero hotels, and Daniels Parkway, Treeline Avenue and Six Mile Cypress back up on game days. Combined with snowbird and spring-break demand, this is the tightest stretch for Fort Myers tee times and rooms.

Golf around the ballgames

A spring-training trip works best with morning golf and afternoon games. Courses close to the ballparks and the airport include Eastwood and Fort Myers Country Club, the two city courses, which open online booking 7 days ahead, and San Carlos Golf Club near RSW and I-75. The Eastwood course guide covers rates. Further south, Saltleaf in Bonita Springs books 90 days ahead, useful for locking in a spring-training week early. For hotels close to JetBlue Park, SpringHill Suites Fort Myers Airport sits north of RSW toward the Daniels corridor.

How Naples golf events move prices

Room prices here follow the snowbird season far more than individual events. Lee County hotels averaged 78.0% occupancy at $230.25 a night in January to March 2026, against 59.2% at $144.43 in October to December 2025. Collier County, home to Naples and Marco Island, hit a $487.60 average rate at 80.5% occupancy in February 2026.

Events add to that base. The Chubb Classic plus Presidents' Day lifts North Naples, spring training lifts Fort Myers and Estero, and the Wine Festival fills the Ritz-Carlton properties. Planning around events

• Want Tiburon? Avoid the CME and Grant Thornton weeks in November and December and the Chubb week in February, or plan to play the open course.
• Want quiet tee sheets? Early December, between the CME and Grant Thornton, is the sweet spot of the early season; late April is the quiet end of spring.
• Want to watch? All three tournaments are ticketed; book rooms outside North Naples, such as Estero or Bonita, and drive in early.
• Coming for spring training? Book Fort Myers hotels early and play before noon.
