Locator map: Lake Havasu RV resorts for a golf winter

Lake Havasu RV resorts give a winter golfer two main choices with published prices: Havasu Falls RV Resort on the north side, closest to Iron Wolf, and Islander RV Resort on the Island, closest to the London Bridge and Lake Havasu Golf Club. Neither includes golf, so budget green fees or a seasonal membership on top.

This guide covers the Lake Havasu RV resorts in our research, what each costs as seen in October 2026, how far each is from the three full-length courses in town, and how to price the golf. Rates change, so treat every figure as a snapshot.

Havasu Falls RV Resort: the golfer's pick on price

Havasu Falls RV Resort has 129 full-hookup sites with 30/50 amp service, concrete pads and pull-throughs for big rigs. The official site listed nightly rates from $75 and a winter special of $800 a month plus electric for November and December 2026. The January to March monthly price is not published, so call 928-764-0050.

For golf, it sits on the north side of town. That puts Iron Wolf Golf & Country Club about 8 minutes away and Lake Havasu Golf Club about 17. The park itself points guests to both clubs. Amenities aimed at long stays include a heated pool open all year, a recreation hall, a community kitchen, potlucks and free Wi-Fi, and the park says it is group and club friendly.

The catch is timing. The $800 special covers only November and December. If you plan to stay through March, get the peak price in writing before you commit.

Islander RV Resort: lakefront, pricier

Islander RV Resort is a large park on the Island with 509 sites, a private boat ramp, beaches, docks, a pool, hot tub, pickleball, shuffleboard and the Boat House Grill. Nightly rates on the official page started at $88.88 for a back-in site, $94.80 for a pull-through and $106.65 for premium, with Lake View pull-throughs (motorhomes only) from $148.13, tax included. The minimum stay is two nights.

Monthly rates are "available" but not published. Reservations are by phone only (928-680-2000), 8 am to 5 pm daily, closed Thanksgiving and Christmas. Reviewers report full payment up front and cancellation fees well ahead of arrival. There is no cable or Wi-Fi at the RV sites.

From the Island it is about 11 minutes to Lake Havasu Golf Club and 17 to Iron Wolf. A tourism listing mentions golf on site, but the resort's own pages do not, so do not count on it. The executive course nearby on the Island, the old Island Golf Club at the Nautical, closed around 2018 and its land was sold in 2023.

Other Lake Havasu RV resorts and parks

Havasu Springs Resort, near Parker Dam, has a 100-plus site RV park and a 9-hole par-3 course that GolfPass lists as public. Its golf status is unclear (no dated 2025-26 evidence and no published fees), so call first.

Havasu Landing Resort & Casino has an RV park, campground and marina on the California shore, facing Lake Havasu City across the water. Every round means the ferry or a long drive round the lake, and one guest review says the ferry did not run on a windy day. It also runs on Pacific time, an hour behind the Arizona courses in winter.

If a house suits you better than a rig, see the Lake Havasu City furnished winter rentals, listed at about $1,300 to $2,500 a month for 2026-27, often with 3-4 month minimums. Our Laughlin monthly rentals guide compares them with Bullhead City.

The courses you will play from Lake Havasu RV resorts

Three full-length courses are inside 20 minutes of either park.

  • Lake Havasu Golf Club Desert West is the original 1967 course and the stronger test: 6,466 yards, par 71, slope 127. Public rates on the 2026/2027 table were $94 before noon, $82 after noon and $50 after 3 PM. It closes for overseed in October; in 2026 it showed no public times from Oct 28 to Nov 5.
  • Lake Havasu Golf Club Desert East is shorter and easier: 6,140 yards, slope 118, $82 / $76 / $48 public. It stayed open while the West was overseeding.
  • Iron Wolf is the former Refuge, a Palmer and Seay hill course: 6,434 yards, par 70, slope 119, with a Toptracer range. Rates are not posted; a GolfNow deal of $33.26 appeared for Oct 8, 2026, and an aggregator puts peak at about $85.

For a change of scene, Emerald Canyon in Parker charged $80 with cart in winter 2025-26 ($90 if booked more than 7 days ahead) and is closed Oct 1 to Nov 1, 2026 for overseed. The Lake Havasu Golf Club course guide, Iron Wolf course guide and Emerald Canyon course guide have tees and booking details.

Pricing a winter: site plus golf

A winter at one of the Lake Havasu RV resorts is two bills. Here is what the files show for each.

Item Price seen (Oct 2026)
Havasu Falls site, Nov or Dec$800 a month + electric
Lake Havasu Golf Club seasonal membership, individual$1,125 (1 month), $1,925 (2), $2,525 (3)
Same, couple$1,625 (1 month), $2,675 (2), $3,500 (3)
VIP Discount Card$209 ($189 in September)
Desert West public round before noon$94
Desert East public round after 3 PM$48

Twelve morning rounds on the West at the public rate cost $1,128, about the same as a one-month membership, so three rounds a week is roughly the break-even point. The membership pays more the longer you stay: three months cost $2,525, or about $842 a month. Check what each membership includes before you buy. When to arrive

January to March is the winter-visitor peak along the river, when Lake Havasu RV resorts fill and morning tee times go first. In town, normal highs run about 65F in January, 70F in February and 78F in March, with lows in the low to mid 40s in midwinter. March also brings college spring break to the Island and the channel, which pushes up weekend traffic.

November is a good time to arrive: highs near 75F, new rye on the courses and the Havasu Falls monthly special. Just check which course is open in late October and early November, when the Lake Havasu Golf Club courses overseed in turn. See Laughlin golf overseed for each course's dates and the best time to golf in Laughlin for the month-by-month picture.

Havasu or Bullhead City?

Lake Havasu City is about 94 minutes and 71 miles south of Laughlin. From a Havasu park, the Bullhead City, Fort Mohave and Mohave Valley courses are about an hour or more away, so most golfers pick one end of the river for the season. Bullhead City has more courses within half an hour; Havasu has the lake, the London Bridge and two clubs that suit a membership. Compare the north end in Bullhead City RV resorts, weigh both in Laughlin vs Lake Havasu, and see how a full season works in Laughlin winter golf.
