Rhodes Ranch Golf Club: a southwest Las Vegas community course and what we know about it

Rhodes Ranch Golf Club is a public daily-fee course inside the Rhodes Ranch community in southwest Las Vegas, about 19 minutes from the Strip. Ted Robinson Sr. designed it in 1997 with water features through the neighbourhood, and it books online through foreUP. Our research did not capture its green fees, so check before you go.

The course

Rhodes Ranch is a neighbourhood course: it is a residential community course inside Rhodes Ranch, with water features, per the course description in our files. It was designed by Ted Robinson Sr. and opened in 1997.

What we do not have: par, yardages, tees, ratings, slopes or a street address. Our files rate it a fair-priced filler round near the Spring Valley rental areas rather than a trip highlight. If you want course detail before you go, the club's website and phone are the sources. Community courses that welcome visitors are common in the valley: Siena sits inside the Siena 55+ community and the three Golf Summerlin courses inside Sun City Summerlin, and all of them take public tee times. Rhodes Ranch Golf Club sells tee times online through foreUP, linked from rhodesranchgolf.com, and by phone at (702) 740-4114. The booking window, resident rates and cancellation policy were not captured. Ask about all three when booking for a group: other Las Vegas courses run 48-hour or 72-hour cancellation rules, and some charge for no-shows.

Season and overseed

The fairways are bermuda overseeded with rye. Our files have no 2026 overseed dates for Rhodes Ranch; across the valley, most courses close or play temporary greens for two to three weeks between late August and October, then run 10 to 14 days of cart path only. Getting there and where to stay

Rhodes Ranch is an easy drive from the south end of the Strip and the southwest hotels.

For a value-minded group, Silverton and South Point pair lower resort fees with quick runs to the south-valley courses. The Hampton Inn has no resort fee on the tracker. Room rates were not captured.

A southwest base for several courses

From the Hampton Inn Red Rock/Summerlin on S Grand Canyon Dr, Rhodes Ranch Golf Club is one of several courses within about a quarter of an hour:

That makes the southwest a practical base for a week that mixes one or two bigger rounds with cheaper neighbourhood golf. Siena is worth knowing in September: it skips the traditional overseed (2026 aerification was August 24-25). For the whole west side, see Summerlin golf courses.

Snowbirds: renting near Rhodes Ranch

Our files place Rhodes Ranch near the Spring Valley rental areas. Spring Valley and Enterprise are in unincorporated Clark County, where the county says it is illegal to rent a residential property for fewer than 31 days without a short-term rental business licence. A stay of 31 nights or more falls outside those rules, which is how most snowbird furnished rentals in the county are let. Book from a manager who can show licensing or HOA approval. Private clubs nearby

Two private clubs sit in the same part of the valley, and neither is open to visitors:

• Spanish Trail Country Club: a gated 27-hole club in Spring Valley (Sunrise, Canyon and Lakes nines); members and guests only.
• Southern Highlands Golf Club: gated, south of the Strip; members and their guests only.

After the round

Two sit-down options on the way back toward the Strip from the southwest: Bootlegger Bistro, an Italian restaurant and lounge at 7700 S Las Vegas Blvd south of the resorts, and Herbs & Rye, a cocktail bar and steakhouse at 3713 W Sahara Ave known for its happy-hour steaks. • Groups based at the south end of the Strip who want an off-Strip round 16 to 18 minutes away.
