The Summerlin clubs
TPC Summerlin is a private PGA Tour TPC club. Our course file says it hosts the Tour's Las Vegas stop each October and that spectators can attend that week. The season research disagrees on the event: it records the Shriners Children's Open as discontinued after 2024 per Wikipedia, with no 2026 or 2027 edition found. So do not plan a trip around a tournament there without checking. Do not confuse it with TPC Las Vegas, which is public: about $175 weekday and $195 weekend before noon in a 2026 third-party guide (approximate).
The Summit Club is the most exclusive club in the valley in our files: members are homeowners in The Summit community, and a third-party guide put initiation above $350,000. Not accessible to visitors.
Red Rock Country Club's Mountain Course, an Arnold Palmer design, is members only. One third-party report gives full golf membership at $65,000 initiation and $1,225 a month, unverified. The good news: the club's other course, the Arroyo, is public, with a $145 listing in April 2026. See our Arroyo Golf Club guide and the Arroyo course guide.
South and central clubs
Southern Highlands is in a gated community south of the Strip; members and their guests only. The M Resort and South Point are the nearest hotels in our files, but neither gives access.
Spanish Trail is a gated 27-hole club in Spring Valley, with Sunrise, Canyon and Lakes nines; members and guests only.
Las Vegas Country Club, a mile east of the Strip, offers several membership categories, including corporate and young executive, per its own membership page. Members and guests only.
Canyon Gate is an Invited club (formerly ClubCorp). Invited members may have reciprocal or travel privileges here; a third-party guide lists it as semi-private with initiation from about $5,000. If your home club is in the Invited network, ask your club about it before the trip.
The Henderson and Lake Las Vegas clubs
Anthem Country Club is a private Invited club inside the guard-gated Anthem Country Club community; a 2026 real-estate guide credits Hale Irwin with the design. Buying a home behind the gate does not include membership. Invited reciprocity is possible, terms not checked.
Dragon Ridge in MacDonald Highlands is members and accompanied guests only. Our files found no public or hotel route, and its 2026 status was inferred rather than directly checked.
SouthShore at Lake Las Vegas has an initiation fee plus dues; members and accompanied guests only. Next door, Reflection Bay, a Nicklaus course, is public. See Lake Las Vegas golf.
Sunrise Vista: the military course
Sunrise Vista on Nellis Air Force Base is run by the 99th Force Support Squadron for active duty, retirees, DoD civilians and their sponsored or authorized guests. Base access is required, and it is not open to the general public. Green Fee Tracker listed $39 in April 2026 for eligible golfers. The 36-hole count in our files is unverified.
Restricted but not private: Shadow Creek and Wynn
Two of the best-known Las Vegas courses are often called private but are not:
| Course | Who can play | Price seen |
|---|---|---|
| Shadow Creek | guests staying at an MGM Resorts Las Vegas hotel, booked through the hotel | $1,250 per player (2026), with limo; caddie fee and tip may be extra |
| Wynn Golf Club | built and priced for Wynn and Encore guests; confirm non-guest access with the golf concierge | $450-$1,000 (Sep 2026 report) |
See the Shadow Creek course guide, our Shadow Creek golf guide, the Wynn Golf Club course guide and Las Vegas golf resorts, which covers which hotels unlock which courses.
Clubs in transition
- Amara Golf & Social Club (formerly Bear's Best): the Jack Nicklaus course in Summerlin was sold, reported at $30.5 million, and public play ended around the end of June 2025. It is being turned into a private club with a 2025 Jackson Kahn Design redesign. A listing showed it closed for renovations, reopening TBD. Status unclear; it will be membership only.
- Stallion Mountain: listed on tee-time sites, but a directory says tee times are for members and their guests. Public access and 2026 status are not confirmed; call first.
- Black Mountain in Henderson is closed and not playable.

Public courses to play instead
If a private club is out of reach, the files' public alternatives in each area:
- Instead of TPC Summerlin or the Summit: TPC Las Vegas or the Arroyo, both in Summerlin.
- Instead of Anthem or Dragon Ridge: the Revere's two courses in Anthem, or Serket, the former Rio Secco.
- Instead of SouthShore: Reflection Bay, next door.
- Instead of Las Vegas Country Club: Las Vegas National, a public parkland course 10 minutes from the Strip, $179 in April 2026 (Green Fee Tracker).
