Baytowne Golf Club is Sandestin's value course: $99 public or $75 for resort guests for most of 2026, rising to $119 and $95 only from March 6 to May 3. It is open to anyone, sits beside Baytowne Wharf in Miramar Beach, and closes November 2-8, 2026 for greens overseeding.

Spring is the only season above $99. Baytowne's own site still showed an older undated table ($71-$101 public, $66-$91 resort) in October 2026; go by the sandestin.com figures. No general twilight rate is published, but Snowbird and Player's Club cardholders get nine holes after 1 PM at half rate.
Who can play Baytowne
The public can book at the higher rate, up to 14 days out. The lower rate is for guests of Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort lodging and of the Hilton Sandestin, and for amenity card holders. Sandestin resort guests book up to six months ahead; packages and groups up to 13 months. Burnt Pine members get member rates (not published).
Baytowne is in both Sandestin packages: the Resort Classic (Links and Baytowne, up to 25% off, 2+ nights) and the Premium (all four courses, 4+ nights). The Hotel Effie Sandestin, 3 minutes away, says its resort fee includes golf discounts; ask which rate you get. GolfNow also lists the course.

Tees are from Chronogolf, not the USGA database. GolfPass lists the opening year as both 1984 and 1986.
How Baytowne plays
Baytowne is a resort course with lakes and housing around Baytowne Wharf. From the Gold tees it is a real test at a 138 slope, but it drops quickly: Blue is 130 and White just 114. That makes it the most playable Sandestin course for a mixed-ability group, and the junior tee makes it work for kids.
Conditions have been the weak point. GolfPass reviewers in September 2026 called the greens slow and shaggy, while layout and staff scored better. Play it as the warm-up or the cheap round, not as the trip's centerpiece.
The best use of Baytowne Golf Club is on the first afternoon of a Sandestin stay, or as the round for the non-golfer in the group who wants to try it. A family can play the White and Junior tees together, and the cart and practice balls are already in the price. In spring, when the Raven costs $159 public, Baytowne at $119 is the cheaper way to play in the gates, and the resort rate brings it to $95.

Three stays are about 3 minutes by road: Sandestin resort lodging, Hotel Effie and the Hyatt Place Sandestin on Grand Boulevard (public rates, breakfast and parking included per listings). Yes. Anyone can book Baytowne up to 14 days ahead at the public rate. Guests of Sandestin resort lodging and the Hilton Sandestin pay a lower resort rate, and Sandestin resort guests can book six months out.

Is Baytowne a good course for beginners?
It is the most forgiving Sandestin course from the middle tees. The White tees play 5,517 yards with a 114 slope, and there is a 3,002-yard junior tee. From the Gold tees, though, it rates 73.2 with a 138 slope.
What is the Baytowne snowbird rate?
Extended-stay guests renting directly through Sandestin Rentals pay $45 plus tax from November 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027 and $49 from February 1 to March 31, 2027, with a 7-day booking window. The Winter Player's Club, for 28+ night renters through another agency, is $50 plus tax in November and December 2026.
