Fact box: Private golf clubs in Orlando: Isleworth, Lake Nona, Interlachen and the rest, and the guest routes that exist

Private golf clubs in Orlando include the famous names: Isleworth, Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, Interlachen and the Country Club of Orlando, plus Orange Tree, Bella Collina and the Seminole County clubs. All of them are member's-guest only. Bay Hill, Tranquilo and Reunion are different: a room or a rental gets you on. This guide lists every club in our research and the routes that actually exist.

Several of Orlando's best-known golf names are clubs a visitor cannot book. That is worth knowing before you plan a trip around a name. Facts were checked in November 2026; where a club's status or policy could not be confirmed, we say so.

Isleworth

Isleworth is a private golf community on the Butler Chain of Lakes in Windermere. Our research is short and firm: play is only as a member's guest, with no resort or public access. Its Google rating is 4.8.

Lake Nona Golf & Country Club

Lake Nona is a Tom Fazio course from 1986 and a tour-pro base. It hosted the 1990 Solheim Cup and the 1993 World Cup of Golf, plus the Tavistock Cup. Guests play only when hosted by a member; directory summaries say there is an on-site lodge for members' guests. The LPGA's Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, the season opener with a celebrity division, is there on February 4-7, 2027, which is the only way most visitors will see it. More in Lake Nona golf.

Interlachen and the Country Club of Orlando

Interlachen in Winter Park is a demanding Joe Lee course, redesigned by Steve Smyers in 2007, with a 145 slope from the 7,213-yard Black tees. The Country Club of Orlando is the city's old-line private club beside downtown; its site has a guests page whose policy we did not read. Both are member's guest only. See Winter Park golf.

Orange Tree and Bella Collina

Orange Tree is a neighbourhood member club in Dr. Phillips. It does not offer public daily play, but outings and events are booked through the club, which is the one route our files show. Bella Collina in Montverde is a private club community; visitors play through a member, and its policy was not read.

The Seminole County clubs

Heathrow Country Club and the Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes now share one 36-hole membership. The Legacy Club used to sell public tee times, but none were on GolfNow in November 2026. Alaqua describes itself as totally private, by invitation only. Tuscawilla, a 1971 Joe Lee course in Winter Springs, is run for members; the research found no public tee-time link and suggests calling the club about guest or trial play. See Lake Mary golf courses.

Status not verified

  • Golden Bear Club at Keene's Pointe (Windermere): listed as a private Jack Nicklaus club, member's guest only. The club site could not be reached and no closure news was seen.
  • Windermere Country Club: listed as private, member's guest only; not verified.
  • Timacuan Golf & Country Club (Lake Mary): a 1987 Ron Garl course reported in 2022 to be going completely private. Its site was down in November 2026, and Google Maps now shows Links of Lake Mary, a public course, on the same site.
  • The Country Club of Mount Dora: a private member club whose site was live in November 2026; access policy not read.

None of these is on our map.

The private clubs you can play with a room

Three of Orlando's best-known golf names are effectively private but have a paid route in.

Club Who can play How to get on Resort fee
Bay Hill Championship and Charger Ninemembers and Lodge guestsstay at Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodgenot published
TranquiloFour Seasons Resort Orlando guests and club membersstay at the Four Seasons; book via concierge or golf shop$56.25 per room per night
Reunion: Palmer, Watson, Nicklausmembers and Reunion Resort guestsstay at the resort, or rent a home in the Houseguest Program or through a partner manager$47.40 per room per night; agencies quote $35-40 per home per night

Resort fees are from resortfeechecker and agency listings, November 2026.

Bay Hill: the club says its courses are available exclusively to members and to guests staying at the Lodge. That covers the Championship course, a 1961 Dick Wilson layout refined by Arnold Palmer, and the Charger nine. Lodge green fees and the booking window were not published. The course closes to members and Lodge guests for Arnold Palmer Invitational week, March 15-21, 2027. See the Bay Hill course guide and how to play Bay Hill.

Tranquilo: the former Disney Osprey Ridge, renovated by Tom Fazio and reopened in October 2014, is now the Four Seasons' own course, a par 71 of 6,901 yards from the back. Four Seasons says play is reserved for resort guests and club members. Older directory listings mention public booking, but treat public access as not available. See the Tranquilo course guide and Disney World golf courses.

Reunion: the Palmer (2004), Watson (2004) and Nicklaus (2006) courses are for members and Reunion Resort guests, including guests of partner vacation-home managers. GolfLink showed some Reunion tee times at $110-185 in September 2026, so non-guest access may exist off-peak; confirm with the resort. A ride-along is $40 per cart. See the Reunion Palmer course guide and Reunion Resort golf.

The Villages

The Villages, about 72 minutes north-west of downtown, has 12 championship courses and executive courses run for residents. Old resident-forum posts (2009-2012) say non-residents could play the championship courses for a non-resident fee, booked only on the day; the current rule is not confirmed. See The Villages golf for visitors.

How visitors usually get on a private club

The routes in our files:

  1. Book the room: Bay Hill Lodge, Four Seasons (Tranquilo) or Reunion. This is the only route you control.
  2. Rent the right house: at Reunion, ask whether the home is in the Houseguest Program before you book.
  3. Go with a member: the only way onto Isleworth, Lake Nona, Interlachen and the rest.
  4. Book an outing: Orange Tree takes outings and events through the club.
  5. Watch a tour event: Lake Nona in February and Bay Hill in March.

If none of those fits, Orlando has plenty of public golf; see public golf courses in Orlando. Golfers who also winter in Southwest Florida will find a similar picture in private golf clubs in Naples.
