Contour art: Snowbird golf schedule for Orlando: a weekly rotation built on weekday rates and conditions

A good snowbird golf schedule for Orlando plays four or five rounds a week from Monday to Thursday, when most courses charge less, uses one twilight slot, and leaves weekends to the holiday and visiting-family crowds. Build it around one pass course near your rental, and book each daily-fee course the day its window opens.

This guide gives three sample weekly rotations, for a north, south or west base, with the prices seen in November 2026, plus the day-of-week rates, closure days and booking windows that shape them. Rates change, and January to April rates were not yet published at several courses, so check before you lock in a season.

Quick facts

  • Cheapest days: Monday to Thursday at every course here that splits its rates.
  • Cheapest all-day deal: Green Valley, $29 on Tuesdays.
  • Cheapest twilight: Casselberry, $25 after 4 pm on weekdays.
  • Closure days: Winter Park's two city courses each shut one Monday a month.
  • Booking windows: Disney 90 days, Mayfair 14, Winter Park 9-hole 3 (public).
  • Sample weeks: about $174 to $253 a golfer for four to five rounds.

How to build a snowbird golf schedule for Orlando

  1. Pick an anchor course near your rental. Ideally one with a pass or membership, so two or three rounds a week cost little more than the cart. Casselberry, Royal St. Cloud, Winter Park Pines and Green Valley all sell one.
  2. Fill the other weekdays with daily-fee courses inside 20 to 30 minutes, using their cheapest days and times from the table below.
  3. Add one twilight round for a late-afternoon nine or eighteen at a fraction of the morning rate.
  4. Leave the weekend free, or play twilight; weekend rates are higher everywhere that splits them.
  5. Check closures before booking: monthly maintenance days at the city courses and overseed weeks at the resort courses in November and December.
  6. Diary the booking windows so you can book each tee time the day it opens.

Rotation 1: north base (Winter Park and Seminole County)

Check the Monday closures first: Winter Park's 9-hole course shuts on Monday, December 7, and Winter Park Pines on Monday, December 14, among others. The public window at the 9-hole course is only 3 days, so book Tuesday's time on Saturday. A Casselberry monthly pass ($399, carts extra) replaces two of these rounds for most of the month. See the Mayfair course guide, the Winter Park 9 course guide and Winter Park golf.

Rotation 2: south base (Kissimmee, ChampionsGate, Davenport)

The GolfNow figures are "from" snapshots for Thursday, November 5, 2026, so treat them as the floor. Providence jumps to $129 before noon in January and $149 in February and March, so in peak season swap it for a pass round at Royal St. Cloud, where the Royal Membership is $1,575 a year or $135 a month.

Fitting the schedule to conditions

Overseed season. From late October to mid-December, some resort and high-end courses close for days or weeks to overseed. In fall 2026, Disney's Palm is closed Nov 9-27 and Magnolia Dec 1-18. Leave those courses out of November and December rotations; our Orlando golf in November guide has every date.

Cold mornings. January averages about 72F by day and 50F at dawn at MCO, and after a strong cold front frost can delay the first tee times. A 9 or 10 am slot is the safer booking that week.

Short days. Sunsets around 5:30 pm in early December cut twilight rounds short, and Winter Park's 9-hole course closes at 5 pm from early November to mid-March.

Weekends and holidays. Holiday mornings near the parks fill with visiting family groups, and the PGA Show (Jan 26-29, 2027) and Arnold Palmer Invitational week (Mar 15-21, 2027) add pressure. Keep weekends for errands, or play twilight.

A monthly splurge

Most snowbirds add one big day a month. Streamsong, about two hours south, charged day guests $425 from October to mid-December 2026 and $445 from January 14 to April 30, 2027. Mind its closure days in October and November: Blue closes Mondays from 11 am, Red Tuesdays and Black Wednesdays. From December 24 to February 28 all three are walking only.

Booking windows to diary

  • 90 days: Disney's Magnolia, Palm and Lake Buena Vista.
  • 60 days: Grand Cypress Cypress and Links for non-guests.
  • 30 days: Disney's Oak Trail; Streamsong for non-guests.
  • 14 days: Mayfair; Winter Park Pines for annual pass holders.
  • 3 days: Winter Park's 9-hole course for the public.

Questions golfers ask

What is the cheapest day to golf in Orlando?

Monday to Thursday at most courses that publish rates. Winter Park's 9-hole course was $33 Monday to Thursday and $40 at weekends for non-residents, Mayfair $53.95 against $57.95 before 11 am, and Disney's courses are lower Monday to Thursday. Green Valley in Clermont is $29 all day on Tuesdays.

How many rounds a week should a snowbird plan in Orlando?

Four or five suits most snowbirds: weekday mornings at the cheaper courses, one twilight round and the weekend off, when holiday and visiting-family tee sheets fill. Our sample weeks run from about $174 to $253 a golfer on rates seen in November 2026.

Which Orlando courses close on set days?

Winter Park Golf Course closes one Monday a month (Nov 9 and Dec 7, 2026; Jan 5, Feb 9, Mar 9 and Apr 13) and Winter Park Pines on others (Nov 16 and Dec 14, 2026; Jan 12, Feb 23, Mar 16 and Apr 20). In October and November, Streamsong closes Blue on Mondays, Red on Tuesdays and Black on Wednesdays from 11 am.

How far ahead can snowbirds book Orlando tee times?

Windows vary. Disney's 18-hole courses open 90 days ahead, Grand Cypress 60 days for non-guests, Mayfair 14 days, Winter Park Pines 14 days for annual pass holders and Winter Park's 9-hole course 3 days for the public (7 for members).

Should snowbirds play early or late in an Orlando winter?

In January, after a strong cold front, the first tee times can be delayed by frost, so a mid-morning slot is safer. Twilight is short in December, with sunsets around 5:30 pm, but cheap: Casselberry is $25 after 4 pm on weekdays.

Is a season pass better than a weekly rotation?

Combine them. A pass such as Casselberry's $399 monthly unlimited or Royal St. Cloud's $135 a month on an annual plan covers two or three rounds a week, and you add daily-fee courses on the other days for variety.
