Mission Inn golf means two 18-hole courses at Mission Resort + Club in Howey-in-the-Hills: El Campeon, the older course with an island-green 16th, and Las Colinas, a 1992 Gary Koch design. Both take public tee times as well as resort guests. The resort sits about an hour north-west of downtown Orlando, so it suits a golf-first trip, not a park week.
The resort is now marketed as Mission Resort + Club, and the old missioninnresort.com address redirects to missionresortandclub.com. The resort site blocked automated reading, so several details (par, yardages, ratings and rack rates) are not in our files. Where a fact is missing, this guide says so. Prices were seen in 2026 and change.

El Campeon
El Campeon is the reason most golfers make the drive to Howey-in-the-Hills. The resort record dates the course to 1917, and its best-known hole is the 16th, played to an island green. The research describes the property as rolling, which is unusual for Florida golf.
Public tee times appear on GolfNow. The only price in our files is a summer hot deal: $58.99 with cart for a morning tee time on August 12, 2026. The resort does not publish winter rates on the pages we read, so expect January to April to cost noticeably more. Packages that include both courses were advertised from about $499 to $518, with no dates shown (TeeTimesUSA).
Par, yardage, slope and rating are not in our files. See the El Campeon course guide for the map view and any updates.
Las Colinas
Las Colinas is Gary Koch's course, opened in 1992. TeeTimesUSA describes it as inland links in style with large greens, where shot placement matters more than length. It is the easier of the two Mission Inn courses, so the usual advice is to play El Campeon first and Las Colinas second on a 36-hole day.
Las Colinas takes resort guests and public tee times through TeeTimesUSA and GolfNow. No rates were published on the pages read. Its strongest case is as the second round in a package. See the Las Colinas course guide.
Who can play Mission Inn golf
Both courses are open to anyone with a tee time, which is not true of every big-name resort around Orlando. Bay Hill is for Lodge guests and members, the Reunion courses are for Reunion guests and renters, and Tranquilo is for Four Seasons guests. At Mission Inn, a day visitor can book the same courses as a resort guest.
Resort guests get Stay and Play packages that bundle El Campeon and Las Colinas. A 2026 Tee Times USA package was four nights with three rounds, and GolfPass lists packages from about $189 per person per night in low season. For most groups, staying two nights and playing both courses is the simplest way to do it.
Staying at Mission Resort + Club
Mission Resort + Club is a Spanish-style resort with the two 18s, the El Dorado short course and a Google rating of 4.4 from about 1,680 reviews. Las Colinas is about 2 minutes from the rooms and El Campeon about 8 minutes by road.
What the files do not have: a live nightly rate (none was read in November 2026) and the resort fee amount. Press releases confirm a resort fee is added to packages, so ask for the total before you book. Our guide to Orlando resort fees compares the fees that are published at other golf resorts.
The resort is best for golf-first groups and couples who do not need the parks. If a park day is part of the plan, a base closer to Disney or Clermont makes more sense; see Orlando golf resorts for the other options.
Other stays nearby:
- Clerbrook Golf & RV Resort: a large RV park with its own course, about 16 minutes from Las Colinas. A natural base for RV snowbirds.
- Fairfield Inn & Suites Clermont: about 29 minutes from Las Colinas and 35 from El Campeon, with no resort fee on resortfeechecker's November 2026 list.

Bishops Gate Golf and Lakeside Community, also in Howey-in-the-Hills, has a status our research could not confirm: its website now shows a web-host placeholder. Status unclear, call first. It is not on our map.

When to play Mission Inn
Lake County shares Orlando's climate. At Orlando International, the NOAA 1991-2020 normals give January highs of about 72F with lows near 50F, and November is the driest month, with about 1.8 inches of rain on 6 days. After a strong cold front, January dawns can drop close to freezing and delay first tee times.
- January to April: peak golf and peak prices; book early.
- November and December: shoulder season and excellent golf weather, before the peak.
- May: shoulder rates and quiet tee sheets, but humid by the end of the month.
- June to September: the cheapest golf (the $58.99 GolfNow deal was an August price), with afternoon thunderstorms most days. Book the first tee times.
No overseed or aerification dates for either Mission Inn course are published in our files, so ask the pro shop before booking a November or December trip. Our best time to golf in Orlando guide goes month by month, and Orlando golf in November covers overseed season.
Who Mission Inn golf suits
Mission Inn golf suits a group or couple who want two good courses in one place, quiet evenings and no theme parks. It is too far out for park days. A typical plan is two nights at the resort with El Campeon and Las Colinas, then a round at Black Bear or Clermont National on the way back toward Orlando. For a whole trip built around Orlando's bookable courses, see the Orlando golf trip guide and public golf courses in Orlando.
Plan it on the map

Questions golfers ask
Can the public play golf at Mission Inn?
Yes. Both 18-hole courses at Mission Resort + Club take public tee times as well as resort guests. El Campeon sells public times on GolfNow, and Las Colinas is bookable through TeeTimesUSA and GolfNow. Resort guests get Stay and Play packages that bundle the two.
How much does it cost to play El Campeon?
The resort does not publish its rates on the pages we read. The one public price in our files is a GolfNow hot deal of $58.99 with cart for a morning round on August 12, 2026. Winter rates will be higher, so check GolfNow or the resort before you go.
Which Mission Inn course is harder?
El Campeon is the older and more dramatic of the two, with an island green at the 16th. Las Colinas, a Gary Koch design from 1992, is the easier course, inland-links in style with large greens. On a 36-hole day, play Las Colinas second.
How far is Mission Inn from Orlando?
El Campeon is about 59 minutes and 39 miles from downtown Orlando by free-flow drive time, and Las Colinas about 53 minutes. The research estimates about an hour to Disney. Rush-hour traffic adds time.
Does Mission Resort + Club charge a resort fee?
Yes. Resort press releases say a resort fee is charged on top of packages, but the amount was not found. Ask for the total, fee and tax included, before you book.
Is Mission Inn a good base for a Disney trip?
No. The resort is well north-west of the parks, about an hour from Disney, so park days mean long drives. It suits golf-first groups and couples who do not need the parks.
What other golf is near Mission Inn?
Clerbrook Golf & RV Resort is about 14 minutes away, Arlington Ridge in Leesburg about 17, Mount Dora Golf Club about 24 and Clermont National about 27. Black Bear in Eustis and Deer Island in Tavares are also in Lake County.
