The JW Marriott Marco Island's Rookery and Hammock Bay sit here too, for its guests. Around them are private clubs from TPC Treviso Bay to Fiddler's Creek.

Lely Resort: Flamingo Island and Mustang
Lely Resort has three courses. Two are public on one tee sheet, and the third, the Gary Player-designed Classics, is a private equity club (initiation listed at $100,000, dues $22,200).
- Flamingo Island (1991): Robert Trent Jones Sr.'s only design in the area, flat and watery with big bunkers and mounding, 75.3/140 from 7,095 yards. It has a range, a short-game area and a teaching pro. GolfNow showed about $108 with cart for a September 14, 2026 tee time; no official card is published.
- Mustang (1997): Lee Trevino's wide resort course with water and waste areas, the friendlier second round of a Lely double. See the Lely Mustang course guide.
Renters at GreenLinks Golf Villas get preferred tee times and discounted golf on both, and one owner's unit included free golf from May 15 to October 15, cart extra. More in Lely Resort golf.
Hibiscus: one last public season
Hibiscus is a 1969 David Wallace course, older, tree-lined and short by modern standards at 6,476 yards. It stays public until April 2027; the club's newsletter says through March 2027. It was sold on March 6, 2026 for $28 million to The Lantern Club, which plans a Fry/Straka rebuild into a members-only club targeted for late 2028.
The Fall 2026 card, valid from November 1 with no end date, is $159 with cart from 7am to noon, $129 from 12:04 to 2pm and $99 after 2:04pm, with nine holes at $89, $79 and $59, plus 6% tax. Juniors 15 and under pay $50. A 2026-27 Frequent Player Card gives 20% off all rates. Winter 2026-27 is the last snowbird season to play it; see the Hibiscus course guide.
Eagle Lakes
Eagle Lakes is an open, water-lined 1992 Bruce Devlin course off US 41 east of Naples toward Marco. A summer 2024 renovation laid new Bimini bermuda fairways. From the Gold tees it plays 7,165 yards at 75.3/141, while the White tees are 5,904. It has a full practice facility and books on foreUP.
November and December 2026 rates were $89 to $109, with $55 twilight from 2:30pm, one of the cheaper regulation rounds in Naples this fall. The 24-round Fall Pass costs $1,200 plus $25 cart per round; annual passes were sold out, and a 3-year pass runs $30,000 single or $50,000 couple plus tax. Cancel 24 hours ahead (48 for groups of 8 or more); singles and twosomes may be moved up to 8 minutes to build foursomes, and riders pay full price. Its Google rating is a mixed 3.3 from 204 reviews. See the Eagle Lakes course guide.
The Rookery and Hammock Bay
Both belong to the JW Marriott Marco Island and sit on the mainland in East Naples, not on the island. The Rookery is a long Robert Cupp course inside gated Fiddler's Creek; resort guests book through the golf site, and a free hotel shuttle runs every half hour from 6:30am to 3:30pm if reserved. Hammock Bay, originally the 1974 Marco Shores course by Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge, reopened after a $4.8 million turf replacement and redesign with PlatinumTE paspalum. Both use dynamic pricing; rentals at the Rookery are $90 for 18. See the Rookery course guide, the Rookery at Marco and Marco Island golf.
Private clubs south and east of downtown
Most golf here is private, much of it bundled with the homes. Visitors play as a member's guest, and in bundled communities a seasonal renter may get privileges under club rules.
- US 41 East and Treviso Bay: TPC Treviso Bay, with equity golf bundled into select homes; Eagle Creek; and The Club at Fiddler's Creek, separate from the Rookery in the same development.
- Bundled communities: Glen Eagle, Countryside, Foxfire, Forest Glen, Cedar Hammock, Naples Heritage, The Glades, Naples Lakes and Royal Wood, described as one of the few walkable courses.
- Members and guests: Naples National, Windstar on Naples Bay and Royal Palm, member-owned since 1985.
- Golden Gate Parkway: Cavu Golf Club, the former Naples Grande course, now fully private; Naples Grande Beach Resort guests are no longer eligible.
Lakewood Country Club, 8 minutes from downtown, appears on a public-course list, but that is not confirmed with the club; call before counting on a tee time.
Closed and coming
The Riviera, a par-62 executive in East Naples, has been marked closed since March 2023. In Golden Gate, the old Golden Gate course closed on August 1, 2019; its replacement, The Gate, a nonprofit public nine on county land with discounted fees for Collier residents, was preparing to open in December 2026 after earlier targets slipped. See closed golf courses in Naples.
