Falcon Ridge Golf Club in Mesquite is a public 18-hole course with elevated tees off high plateaus, rolling fairways and water, at a friendlier length than Wolf Creek: 6,303 rated yards from the Black tees and a 135 slope. Falcon Ridge is a desert and residential layout. The tees sit on high plateaus above rolling fairways, the greens are multi-tiered, and water comes into play. It isn't as severe as the canyon courses, which is the point: you get the views and the big downhill shots without a 147 slope. • #12: the lake hole, with a striking view from the tee.
• #14: a 184-yard par 3 from the Silver tees that plays severely downhill.

New greens in 2026

The greens on holes 10 to 18 were replaced in summer 2026. From Jun 15 to Sep 6, 2026 the course played the front nine twice for 18, with a temporary green on #10 from May 18. It reopened after overseed around Oct 4, 2026. Expect firm, young surfaces on the back nine in their first season.

The scorecard still shows older, longer yardages, and the official site says 6,550 yards from the back. Ratings conflict between sources, so if your handicap posting matters, check the card on the day.

Falcon Ridge green fees

Falcon Ridge doesn't post a rate sheet. These are live Chronogolf public "Online Booking" rates sampled on Oct 23, 2026. The engine doesn't say whether a cart is included. Prices change, and later 2027 dates weren't loaded.

The tiered twilight is the useful part. If you're playing 36 in a day or just want a cheap afternoon round, the later tiers are some of the lowest 18-hole prices in town. On Oct 31, 2026 the sheet showed $66.66 from 2:30 PM. Finishing 18 holes after a late start isn't guaranteed. Local and resident rates

A resident discount exists, but the amount isn't published. Online bookings always show the public price, and the discount is applied at check-in. You need to book within 30 days to get it. Ask at the counter.

Booking and policies

• Window: up to 90 days on Chronogolf. On Oct 23, 2026 the sheet ran through Jun 7, 2027 and nothing after.
• Confirmation: bookings are confirmed only by email. The club's own line is "No Confirmation Email = No Booking."
• Cancellation: cancel at least 24 hours out, or pay a $50-per-player no-show fee.
• Carts: GPS carts, according to the club's group-outing page. GolfPass and Golf Advisor say walking is allowed, so confirm with the shop. Extra carts may be limited in peak season.

Overseed and closures

Falcon Ridge closed Sep 7 to Oct 3, 2026 for overseed, per the official site (Golf Zoo said Sep 8 to Oct 4). Golf Zoo lists 2027 dates of Sep 7 to Oct 2, but the course hadn't posted them as of October 2026. Aeration happens during that closure. Practice and food

• Range: open to players with tee times. The club asks you to arrive at least one hour early to warm up. An older note saying the range was closed looks out of date.
• Scotty's Bar & Grill: on site.
• Pro shop: rental clubs, an E-Club, and group outings for up to 144 players.

Pace: one reviewer reported about 3 hours 40 minutes on a midweek midday round in November 2023. No official pace policy is published.

Where to stay

Falcon Ridge Golf Club in Mesquite sits by the west exit off I-15, across the street from the Hampton Inn.

The Hampton is the obvious pairing: smoke-free, no casino, free hot breakfast, and Falcon Ridge across the street. It was $105 for Tue Nov 10, 2026 and $112 for Tue Mar 9, 2027 on hilton.com (seen Oct 23, 2026; rates change). Tips for playing Falcon Ridge Golf Club in Mesquite

1. Ask about the local rate at check-in. The online price is always the public one.
2. Keep the confirmation email. No email, no booking.
3. Look at the twilight tiers if you're flexible. They drop every hour or so through the afternoon.
4. Expect the new back-nine greens to be firm.
5. Mesquite is on Pacific Time, one hour behind St. George. A 9:00 tee time is 10:00 on a St. George clock.
