Rio Secco Golf Club is still open, but it now goes by Serket Golf Club. The Rees Jones course in Henderson's Seven Hills was renamed in 2025, is owned by VICI Properties and managed by Cabot, and books online. Older guides and maps still say Rio Secco, so search both names.

This guide covers what changed, the tees and slopes, the prices on record and the Double Down package with Cascata, Caesars Rewards discounts, overseed, and the hotels a few minutes away.

Quick facts

  • Name: Serket Golf Club since 2025; formerly Rio Secco Golf Club.
  • Owner and manager: VICI Properties; managed by Cabot (The Cabot Collection).
  • Course: Rees Jones with Keith Evans, opened 1997, renovated 2017; par 72.
  • Address and phone: 2851 Grand Hills Dr, Henderson, NV 89052; (702) 777-2400.
  • Access: public, online booking at golfserket.com.
  • Discounts: Caesars Rewards tier pricing for the member and up to three guests; US military 20% off.
  • Drive: 23 minutes from the Strip at Flamingo Rd.

What changed when Rio Secco became Serket

Golf Business Monitor reported the rebrand in August 2025. The name is now Serket Golf Club and the website is golfserket.com. What the club sells under the new name:

  • A Double Down with Cascata, a sister Rees Jones course in Boulder City.
  • Stay & Play packages, with the hotel list not published.
  • An annual Executive Pass, sold out with a wait list.

What did not change: the course itself, the address, the phone number and the ownership. VICI Properties owns it and Cabot has managed it since 2022. The Serket map pin still uses the old rio-secco id.

The Butch Harmon School of Golf is based here, per a Henderson Chamber listing, and the restaurant is Janelas Restaurant & Bar.

Ratings from the GolfPass listing; the women's tee assignments were inferred from it. The course runs in three parts: six holes through canyons, six on a plateau with Strip views and six in the desert foothills. Greens are bentgrass per GolfPass, and the fairways are bermuda overseeded with rye.

For most groups the White tees, 6,552 yards at 71.6/134, are the honest choice. See the Serket course guide.

Serket rates and packages

The rates page read on November 4, 2026 listed packages rather than green fees. Green fees are dynamic and show in the booking engine.

The undated ranges are a guide to the shape of the year, not a quote. Rates change, so check your date.

The Double Down with Cascata

The Double Down is one round at Serket and one at Cascata within five days. Both are Rees Jones courses, and Cascata's fee includes a shared cart, practice before play and a forecaddie (suggested tip $40 per player on top). Cascata does not publish its green fee; a 2026 third-party guide estimated about $399 at peak, unverified. For a group that wants both, the package is the cheapest published way into Cascata. See the Cascata course guide and our Cascata Golf Club guide.

Caesars Rewards and other discounts

Caesars Rewards members get tier-based green fee discounts for themselves and up to three guests, so let the highest-tier player book. Staying at a Caesars Las Vegas hotel such as Caesars Palace may unlock rewards pricing; the exact hotel list is not published. US military get 20% off.

When to play Serket

The undated price bands above follow the Las Vegas golf calendar, and the weather files explain why:

  • February to May: peak pricing. March averages about 71F and April about 79F, nearly dry. Book early.
  • June to August: the low band. Highs run about 99F to 105F, so take the first tee time and ride.
  • September to mid-November: peak again once the rye is in. October averages about 81F and November about 67F.
  • Mid-November to January: the low band returns. December nights average about 40F with frost delays common on early tee times, so a mid-morning start is the better buy.

Booking Serket tee times

Book online at golfserket.com. The public booking window is not stated; Executive Pass holders get 14 days. Local rates exist, but the amounts are not published. For how booking works across the valley, see Las Vegas tee times.

Overseed

The 2026 overseed dates were not published on the pages read. An undated nevadagolf.org table listed September 7-25 for Rio Secco in a past year. Valley-wide, most courses close or play temporary greens for two to three weeks between late August and October. Our Las Vegas golf overseed guide has the dates other courses published.

Where to stay near Serket

Serket sits in south Henderson, so a Henderson base saves most of the drive. Times are to the course:

Stay Drive Resort fee (Nov 2026, third party)
Residence Inn South/Henderson6 minnone on the tracker
Best Western Plus South Henderson6 minnone on the tracker
Homewood Suites Henderson South7 minnone on the tracker
Green Valley Ranch10 min$51.30

Room rates were not captured. Grand Prix week (November 19-21, 2026) is a good time to base in Henderson: Strip room rates spike and road closures around the Strip have disrupted traffic in past editions. More in Henderson golf courses and where to stay in Las Vegas for golf.

Pairing Serket with other Henderson courses

  • The Revere, Lexington: Anthem canyon golf, 12 minutes from Green Valley Ranch; GolfNow showed $83.99 to $148.99 with cart in October 2026.
  • The Legacy: the budget Green Valley round, $46.99 to $57.99 on GolfNow hot deals in October 2026, 4 minutes from Green Valley Ranch.
  • Cascata: the splurge, ideally on the Double Down.

After the round, Nice Shot Golf Lounge & Bar, a simulator lounge at 10050 S Eastern Ave, is near Serket.

Is Serket worth it?

Nothing in our files says the course itself changed when Rio Secco Golf Club became Serket. It is a Rees Jones canyon course with Strip views from the plateau holes, and cheaper than Cascata on every figure we have. Book it if:

  • you want a canyon course without Cascata's price,
  • someone in your group has Caesars Rewards status, or
  • you plan to play Cascata too, so the Double Down applies.

Plan it on the map

Open the Las Vegas golf map to see Serket, Cascata and the Revere with the Henderson hotels and drive times. The $49 plan schedules your rounds so the Double Down's five-day window and overseed both work.

Questions golfers ask

Is Rio Secco Golf Club still open?

Yes, under a new name. Rio Secco became Serket Golf Club in 2025, and golfserket.com was live with online booking when checked on November 4, 2026. The course, address and phone are the same: 2851 Grand Hills Dr, Henderson, (702) 777-2400.

Why did Rio Secco change its name to Serket?

Our files record the 2025 rebrand, reported by Golf Business Monitor in August 2025, but not the reason for the new name. The course is owned by VICI Properties and managed by Cabot, which has run it since 2022.

How much does Serket cost?

Serket prices dynamically and its rates page shows packages, not green fees. An undated third-party listing gave $119 to $259 from February to May and September to mid-November, and $79 to $169 from June to August and mid-November to January, with a shared cart. Check the booking engine for your date.

What is the Double Down package?

One round at Serket and one at Cascata within five days. The club listed it from $525 in summer and from $750 in fall when its rates page was read on November 4, 2026. It is the cheapest published route into Cascata if your group plays both.

Do Caesars Rewards members get a discount at Serket?

Yes. Caesars Rewards members get tier-based green fee discounts for themselves and up to three guests, so the highest-tier player in a foursome should make the booking. US military get 20% off.

How hard is Serket?

From the Blue tees it plays 6,992 yards at 73.7/138, with canyon carries and elevation change. The Yellow tees, 6,054 yards, rate 69.3/122 for men and 75.6/142 for women. A 7,215-yard Black tee exists but no rating was captured.

When does Serket overseed?

The 2026 dates were not published on the pages read. An undated nevadagolf.org table listed September 7-25 for Rio Secco in a past year. Call before booking September or early October.
