Foley, AL golf courses come down to two in town: GlenLakes Golf Club, a 27-hole public club whose links-style 18 ran $37 to $86 in October 2026, and Gulf Links Golf Center, a par-64 executive course with a range. Craft Farms, ONE CLUB and Soldiers Creek are 9 to 25 minutes from Foley's hotel.

It's where Gulf Shores golfers go when they want lower prices, less wind and an easy drive to the Eastern Shore. Prices below were seen October 22, 2026, and change. Drive times are free-flow road estimates without traffic; add time on summer Saturdays.

GlenLakes Golf Club: Foley's main course

GlenLakes, formerly Foley Golf Club, opened in 1984 with a design by Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge. The 18 (Dunes-Vista) is Scottish links-style: strategic mounding, heavy bunkering, and undulating fairways and greens. A separate 9-hole Lakes course (par 35, 3,065 yards) has water on six holes. The GlenLakes course page has the full card, and our GlenLakes Golf Club in Foley guide goes deeper.

How much does GlenLakes cost?

The official 2026 rate card is $86 plus tax with cart before 1:52 pm and $66 from 2 pm. Online pricing is dynamic and often lower. On the TeeItUp sheet for October 27, 2026:

Time 18 holes with cart
Early morning$85.50
Mid-morning$72
Noon to 1:30 pmabout $60-$63
From about 1:40 pm$49.25
After 3 pm$37

Nine holes are $43 plus tax any time, juniors (17 and under) $50, and the Lakes 9 sold online for $25 to $43. GolfNow Hot Deals for October 23-27, 2026 were $61.92.

Booking and winter deals

  • 21 days online through TeeItUp, opening at midnight. Online times are prepaid and non-refundable; bring your printed confirmation.
  • Snowbird 6-pack: $350 plus tax for six 18-hole rounds (about $58 each) or $210 for six 9-hole rounds.
  • Snowbird memberships with cart: 30 days $599 single or $761 family, up to 210 days at $3,585 or $4,228, plus 10% tax.
  • From August 15, 2026, the club stopped taking new Lakes-only members. The Lakes 9 still sells public tee times, but watch for changes to that nine.

GlenLakes won the Snowbird Fest 2020 Snowbird Choice Award as a favorite golf course, and GolfPass ranked it #16 in Alabama in 2020. Google rates it 3.9 from 468 reviews. Our snowbird golf in Gulf Shores guide covers the winter cards in detail.

How it plays

The Dunes-Vista 18 rates 73.0/125 from the 6,912-yard Black tees, but the nines differ: the Dunes front nine plays to a 131 slope and the back to 119. Being inland, it gets less wind than the Fort Morgan courses. Forward tees run all the way down to the Purple at 4,255 yards (61.0/101 for men, 64.5/98 for women).

Gulf Links is a par-64 executive 18 at Hwy 59 and County Road 12, 3901 S. McKenzie St. It isn't in the USGA rating database; GolfNow lists the Blue tees at 3,987 yards (60.1/99) and the White at 3,701 (58.2/96). Third-party directories credit A. J. Stewart and a 1996 opening, which we couldn't verify.

There's a driving range, putting green and chipping area, a pro shop with rentals and, per the tourism listing, a restaurant. It's phone-only for tee times (251-970-1444), no fees are published, and walking is allowed. Google rates it 4.1 from 254 reviews. It's a short, cheap warm-up round, not a trip anchor. The Gulf Links course page lists all four tees.

Craft Farms

Craft Farms' two Arnold Palmer 18s, the only Palmer designs in Alabama, sit about five miles inland off Hwy 59, 12 minutes from Hampton Inn Foley. Cotton Creek is the longer, tree-lined course; Cypress Bend is shorter but rates harder (135 vs 129 from the tips) because of water on nearly every hole. The winter Six-Pack is $420 for six rounds to February 15, 2027 (about $70 a round) or $510 to March 31 (about $85), plus tax, with orders due by November 15, 2026. See our Craft Farms golf guide.

ONE CLUB Golf

A 2,298-yard, par-35 executive nine next to Craft Farms. GolfNow lists its fairways as winter rye, which suggests it's overseeded. Hot deals for late October 2026 ran $44.99 to $65.99. It's for beginners or a quick nine, and it has no driving range.

Soldiers Creek, Elberta

East of Foley in Elberta, 25 minutes from Hampton Inn Foley. Wide fairways with water on only two holes, $65 with cart before 1 pm and $49 after, booked 14 days out. Recent reviews (August to October 2026) are poor on conditions, so play it for the price. Its 2026-27 winter value packs go on sale November 15. Our Soldiers Creek Golf Club guide has the details.

Foley AL golf courses are about as cheap as Baldwin County golf gets: the most expensive regulation round in town, GlenLakes' morning rack rate, is roughly half of Kiva Dunes' late-October morning price.

Is Foley a good base for a golf trip?

For golf, yes. For the beach, less so.

From Hampton Inn Foley you're within 13 minutes of six courses (Gulf Links, ONE CLUB, GlenLakes, both Craft Farms 18s and Gulf Shores Golf Club). Foley is also closer to the Eastern Shore than the beach is:

Course From Hampton Inn Foley From central Gulf Shores
Quail Creek, Fairhope33 min46 min
Lakewood, Point Clear38 min51 min
TimberCreek, Daphne43 min57 min
Rock Creek, Fairhope44 min57 min
Magnolia Grove, Mobile83 min96 min

The trade-off is the Fort Morgan courses: Peninsula is 21 minutes and Kiva Dunes 31 minutes from Hampton Inn Foley.

Hampton Inn Foley has free hot breakfast, free parking, a microwave and fridge in rooms, an outdoor saltwater pool, 2-queen rooms that sleep four and an online block tool for 10 to 25 rooms. It showed from $180 (king) to $190 (two queens) for one late-October 2026 night, which may have been event-inflated. No golf package was found. For more choices, see our Gulf Shores golf hotels guide.

When is the best time to golf in Foley?

The same seasons as the beach, with a little less wind. Fall (October highs about 79°F) and spring (March to April highs of 69°F to 75°F) are best, using NOAA normals from Pensacola. Winter is snowbird season at GlenLakes, with the 6-pack and monthly memberships. In summer, take advantage of GlenLakes' late-afternoon dynamic rates and expect afternoon storms. Our cheap golf in Gulf Shores guide lists the twilight times at every course.
