Temecula RV parks for golfers: Pechanga RV, Vail Lake KOA, Hemet and San Jacinto

Temecula RV parks vary from a full-hookup resort at the casino to unverified listings, and only one has rates we could read from the official page. Pechanga RV Resort sits on the same property as Journey at Pechanga, 2 minutes from the first tee, with nightly rates and a published 29-night package near $2,000.

This guide covers the five RV parks in our data, how far each is from the courses, and where the information runs out. Rates were read on November 6, 2026 where noted, and change.

If your rotation is the Temecula valley, Pechanga is the base. If it is the Hemet and San Jacinto side, Golden Village Palms and Diamond Valley are the closer parks.

Pechanga RV Resort rates

This is a big full-hookup RV resort at the casino, and the official rates page was read on November 6, 2026.

Weekends carry a two-night minimum. For stays of a week or more, the resort lists packages on a Premium site:

The packages are not available on holidays or special events. The longest listed package is 29 nights, so a one- to four-month winter stay needs a conversation: ask about stacking packages or a true monthly rate.

Can you get the Journey rate from an RV site?

Not confirmed. Journey at Pechanga costs $215 for the public and $175 for guests of the hotel. The course record names the Pechanga Resort Casino hotel as the stay that unlocks the guest rate. The RV resort record lists Journey as unlocked, but the golf page does not mention RV guests that we read. Call 951-770-8210 before planning around the lower price. Vail Lake Resort and Temecula KOA

This is a lake resort with RV sites east of the valley. It suits outdoor-minded RVers who do not need golf at the door. The Temecula valley courses are about 19 to 23 minutes away. No rates or monthly terms could be read, sewer hookups may be limited, and the booking goes through the KOA page, so ask about both before planning a long stay.

Vail Lake also appears in our things-to-do notes as a reservoir long used for camping, mountain biking and fishing, with access and operator status that vary and were not checked for 2026-27.

Hemet and San Jacinto RV parks

Golden Village Palms RV Resort is a large activity-style resort in Hemet aimed at the 55+ set. Published rates are old reviewer figures: a last-reported nightly rate of $63 (January 14, 2023), with reviewer figures from $27 to $55. No monthly rate is published, so request a seasonal quote. Age rules are mixed. It is 8 minutes from Hemet Golf Club, where weekday rates seen in April 2026 were $49 and weekends $59, cart included.

Diamond Valley RV Park by Diamond Valley Lake is a budget option. One guide gives nightly rates of about $55 to $90 and says it offers flexible month-to-month leasing. Everything is third-party, the street number was not found, and phoning first is the only safe approach. It is 9 minutes from Soboba Springs, where weekday rates seen in April 2026 were $100 and Friday to Sunday $125 with cart.

Playland RV Resort

Playland RV Resort sits on Grand Avenue near the lake in Lake Elsinore. We could not confirm anything beyond its location: no rates, and its open status is unverified. Treat it as unconfirmed and call before relying on it.

How does RV compare with a rental for a winter stay?

On a monthly basis, Pechanga's 29-night package at about $2,012 is below the $4,000 to $6,500 seen for furnished 3- or 4-bedroom houses, and in the same range as the $1,750 to $2,500 seen for unfurnished Sun City Menifee 55+ homes, although those are mostly 12-month leases. What should you ask any Temecula RV park before booking?

Only Pechanga publishes a rate page we could read, so for every other park the questions matter more than the numbers. Ask these before you commit to any of the Temecula RV parks:

• Monthly or seasonal rate. Golden Village Palms and Diamond Valley have no current published monthly figure, and Vail Lake's terms must be requested.
• Hookups. Sewer hookups may be limited at Vail Lake. Pechanga RV Resort is described as full-hookup.
• Age rules. Golden Village Palms is aimed at the 55+ set, and its age rules are mixed.
• Holiday and event dates. Pechanga's long-stay packages are not available on holidays or special events.
• Stacking. Pechanga's longest listed package is 29 nights, so ask whether a longer winter can be stacked.

The snowbird season runs about November to March, so call in the summer or early fall for the best choice of sites. Compare any quote against the alternatives: furnished houses at about $4,000 to $6,500 a month and the Sun City Menifee rentals described in our Temecula snowbird rentals guide.

None of the Temecula RV parks has a course on site except Pechanga, which sits beside Journey. For a Hemet or San Jacinto base, Echo Hills is the nearest cheap nine, 11 or 12 minutes from the two Hemet-side parks.
