Where to stay in Temecula for golf comes down to four bases: Old Town and the I-15 hotels, the wine-country resorts, the casino resorts at Pechanga and Pala, or Fallbrook. Pechanga is 2 minutes from Journey at Pechanga and Temecula Creek Inn is 1 minute from its course; wine-country hotels are 8 to 21 minutes from the courses.

Room rates were not captured at any of these hotels in November 2026, so this guide compares location, fees and what each stay unlocks, using drive times in minutes from our map data. Check live rates before you book, since wine-country weekends and harvest, August to October, run busier and pricier.

Old Town and I-15 hotels

The chain hotels near Old Town and the I-15 are the practical middle. The Embassy Suites by Hilton Temecula Valley Wine Country sits at the edge of Old Town, about 7 minutes from Temecula Creek Inn and the Legends and 11 from the Golf Club at Rancho California. Groups can split suites. The Hampton Inn & Suites Temecula is a mid-priced chain a short way from Old Town, about 8 minutes from both Temecula Creek Inn and the Legends. The Fairfield Inn & Suites Temecula is on the north Jefferson corridor, close to I-15, about 7 minutes from the Golf Club at Rancho California.

Rates, parking and fees were not captured for any of them, so confirm at booking. Our cheap hotels for Temecula golf guide goes through the value options.

Wine-country resorts

The wine strip along Rancho California Road is the scenic base, and it comes with a drive.

All figures are minutes by road from our map. South Coast is the full resort, with villas and spa among the vines and no golf on site. Its resort fee is disputed between sources: one listing shows $38.08 per room per night and an older review lists $19, so confirm before booking. Ponte is a winery inn on the same strip, and its rates and fees were not captured. The Inn at Europa Village is a small hilltop inn, with one listing saying 11 rooms and press material about ten, so book early for weekends.

Wine-country weekends in spring and fall book out. If your group tastes wine, arrange a driver, tour or ride service; our Temecula golf and wine guide and the wine-country hotels for golfers guide go deeper.

Casino resorts: Pechanga and Pala

Pechanga Resort Casino is the strongest golf-and-casino base. It owns Journey at Pechanga, 2 minutes away, and a hotel room gets the lower rate: $175 versus $215 for the public. Self-parking is free for guests in the North and East garages, 24/7, and valet is $10 a day Monday to Thursday and $20 Friday to Sunday and holidays. No resort fee was found, but confirm at booking. Weekend rates run high. There is also an RV resort on site; see the Pechanga resort golf guide.

Pala Casino Spa & Resort is a 510-room casino resort north of Fallbrook, roughly 25 to 30 minutes from Temecula wine country (not measured). It has no course; Pala Mesa is about 11 minutes by one listing, and no guest-rate link was found. Journey and Redhawk are each 17 minutes away. See Pala Casino as a golf base.
