Downtown Orlando

Kres Chophouse is a steakhouse on Church Street, a block from the Kia Center, and the obvious downtown spot for a group dinner. Dubsdread, Orlando's historic 1924 city course, is about 10 minutes away, which makes it the natural pairing for anyone staying in town. Lake Eola Park, with its fountain and walking loop, is a few minutes' walk away for an after-dinner stroll.

Winter Park: Park Avenue

Winter Park is the best place in the area to combine a short round with a good lunch. Play nine holes at Winter Park Golf Course, which takes about 75 to 90 minutes, then walk a few blocks to Park Avenue. The options in our files:

  • Prato, an Italian restaurant at 124 North Park Avenue.
  • Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine, on South Park Avenue, a change from the steakhouse norm.
  • Hamilton's Kitchen at The Alfond Inn on South Interlachen Avenue, a short walk from Park Avenue and close to Winter Park Golf Course.
  • 4 Rivers Smokehouse on West Fairbanks Avenue, the Central Florida barbecue chain's Winter Park location and a casual after-round stop.

East End Market, a food hall and local market on Corrine Drive in Audubon Park, sits between downtown and Winter Park. The Winter Park golf guide covers the courses.

Restaurant Row and the Universal side

For a steakhouse, the first answer to where to eat in Orlando is West Sand Lake Road in Dr. Phillips, Orlando's Restaurant Row. Ocean Prime does steak and seafood about 10 minutes from Bay Hill, and Seasons 52 is a seasonal grill at 7700 Sand Lake Road; Darden, the chain's owner, is based in Orlando. This is the dinner base for a round at Bay Hill (for Lodge guests), MetroWest or the other Dr. Phillips and Windermere courses, and it is close to Universal. Golf Galaxy on Turkey Lake Road is nearby if you need balls or a glove for tomorrow.

On International Drive, Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse at 9150 International Drive is near the Convention Center. It gets busy in convention weeks such as the PGA Show (January 26-29, 2027), so book ahead then. Shingle Creek and the Grande Lakes resorts are the courses on this side; see the Shingle Creek course guide.

Disney

Disney Springs is free to enter and works for a non-park evening with the family after golf. Morimoto Asia, a pan-Asian restaurant, is one of its anchors. Disney's Lake Buena Vista course is next to Disney Springs, so a morning round there and an evening at Disney Springs is an easy day; the Disney Lake Buena Vista course guide has the details (it reopens November 9, 2026 after a rebuild).

For a special night, Victoria & Albert's at Disney's Grand Floridian is Disney's fine-dining restaurant. Book well ahead; its reservation rules and price were not verified for this guide. For bases near the Disney courses, see Disney hotels near golf.

Celebration and Kissimmee

Celebration's lakefront Front Street has two easy choices a few minutes from Celebration Golf Club: Columbia Restaurant, the Spanish-Cuban restaurant's Celebration branch, and Celebration Town Tavern, a casual seafood-and-pub spot. Old Hickory Steakhouse is inside the Gaylord Palms resort off Osceola Parkway, near Disney's south side and 6 to 7 minutes from Falcon's Fire and Hawk's Landing. See Kissimmee golf courses.

Lake Nona and the airport

Boxi Park is an open-air shipping-container food park in Lake Nona Town Center, easy for groups staying near the airport or playing Eagle Creek, which is about 15 minutes from MCO. Lake Nona Town Center has other dining and shopping too. Inside the airport, Cask & Larder is a restaurant and pub mapped at the main terminal: the last pint before the flight home. More in Lake Nona golf.

Sanford and the north side

Ford's Garage, a burger-and-beer chain at 1415 Rinehart Road near I-4 in Sanford, is handy for SFB arrivals and the Seminole County courses, including Mayfair, about 10 minutes from the airport.

Eating at the course

Sometimes the answer to where to eat in Orlando is the clubhouse. A few courses feed you on site:

  • Black Bear in Eustis has a restaurant open to the public.
  • Green Valley near Clermont calls itself a golf course, bar and grill open to the public, and its $29 twilight after 3 pm leads straight into dinner.
  • Eagle Creek has a proper clubhouse.
  • Winter Park Golf Course has only snacks and drinks in a small pro shop, which is why Park Avenue matters.

Further out, downtown Mount Dora is the lunch stop after a round at Mount Dora Golf Club, and Plant Street in Winter Garden has restaurants and breweries for groups at Orange County National or Stoneybrook West.
