Disney hotels near golf: which resorts sit closest to Magnolia, Palm and Lake Buena Vista

The best Disney hotels near golf are the Polynesian Village and the Grand Floridian, 3 to 5 minutes by road from Magnolia and Palm, and Saratoga Springs, a minute from Disney's Lake Buena Vista course. Disney-owned hotels charge no resort fee, and Disney's perks page lists a free taxi to the four Disney courses. Confirm any golf discount when you book.

Disney hotels near golf, ranked by drive time

Times are road minutes without traffic; park-opening and I-4 traffic can add a lot. All four Disney courses cap groups at four per tee time and ask for 24 hours to cancel.

What the Disney golf perks really are

Disney's golf site has an undated perks page that lists, for Disney Resort hotel guests:

• a 90-day advance tee-time window;
• Walt Disney World Golf discounts;
• a complimentary taxi between the resort and the Disney courses (Magnolia, Palm, Lake Buena Vista and the 9-hole Oak Trail);
• show proof of stay at check-in.

The 2026 rates page, read on November 4, 2026, says something different on two points: Disney resort guests pay the same public rates, and the 90-day window applies to everyone. So the taxi is the perk you can count on. Ask about any discount when you book on golfwdw.com, and do not price a trip around one.

Disney publishes seasons rather than dollar rates for 18 holes: fall (to Jan 7, 2027) about 20% below peak, winter peak from Jan 8 to Mar 21, 2027, spring about 20% below and summer about 40% below, plus 6.5% tax. The one published dollar figure is the Sunset 9, played after 3 pm: $55-65 from Nov 1, 2026 to Jan 7, 2027 and $65-75 from Jan 8 to Mar 13, 2027. Florida residents and juniors get 25% off; Disney Vacation Club members, Annual Passholders, US military and AAA Diamond members 15% off. The Magic Kingdom resorts: Magnolia, Palm and Oak Trail

Magnolia and Palm share a clubhouse on W. Magnolia Palm Drive, west of the Magic Kingdom resort area.

Polynesian Village. The closest Disney-owned resort to both 18s at 3 minutes, and the pick for a family mixing Magic Kingdom days with an early round.

Grand Floridian. Disney's flagship hotel, 4 to 5 minutes from the clubhouse. Rack rates are high and jump on holiday and spring-break weeks.

Contemporary. Walk to Magic Kingdom, then take the free taxi 12 minutes to the courses.

Shades of Green. The Armed Forces Recreation Center sits between Magnolia and Palm and shares the golf clubhouse address, but it is open only to eligible military members, veterans and related groups. Whether Disney's guest perks apply there is not confirmed. Oak Trail is reached through its gate, so bring photo ID.

Magnolia is the big test at 7,505 yards from the Classic tees (76.6/142); see the Magnolia course guide. Palm is shorter, 6,840 yards from the Blue tees (73.3/134), and better for mixed groups. Oak Trail is a walking 9 of 2,801 yards with junior tees and a 30-day booking window.

Disney Springs resorts: Lake Buena Vista

Saratoga Springs has Disney Vacation Club villas with kitchens a minute from the course, which suits a group. Old Key West has roomy villas 5 minutes away. Disney's Lake Buena Vista course reopens on November 9, 2026 after a rebuild of greens, bunkers, tees, irrigation and drainage, so expect firm new greens early in the season. Fort Wilderness for RVers

Disney's campground counts as a Disney Resort for golf. Mousesavers' 2026 rack rates (including 12.5% tax) put Full Hook-Up sites at about $178-219 a night in late January to early February and $248 from March 6 to April 25, and $125-146 in August. On Disney property but not Disney-owned

These hotels sit inside or beside Walt Disney World but charge resort fees:

• Swan and Dolphin: $56.25 a night plus parking (amount not read). Guests get preferred tee-time access and discounted fees but no free taxi.
• Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek: $56.25. Listed by Disney for preferred access and discounts, and the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club is 3 minutes away on the same campus.
• Four Seasons: $56.25. Guests count as "other WDW hotel" guests for Disney golf and are the only visitors who can play Tranquilo, the former Osprey Ridge; see the Tranquilo course guide.
• Holiday Inn Orlando Disney Springs Area: $43.88. Guests get Disney golf preferred access and discounted fees; Lake Buena Vista is 5 minutes away.
• Drury Plaza Disney Springs Area: 4 minutes from Lake Buena Vista and not on the resort fee list, but not named on Disney's perk list.

Timing a Disney golf stay

• Book 90 days out for the 18s and 30 days for Oak Trail.
• Watch overseeding. In fall 2026, Palm is closed Nov 9-27 and Magnolia Dec 1-18, so one of the pair is shut for much of November and December. Our Orlando golf in November guide tracks every closure.
• Avoid the big park weeks if you want value: Thanksgiving, Christmas-New Year, Presidents' Day and spring break to Easter.
• Use twilight. Twilight runs about 45% off the morning rate from 1:00 pm until Jan 7, 2027.
