ChampionsGate golf means two Greg Norman courses at the Omni Orlando Resort, the links-style International and the parkland National, plus a separate community course, ChampionsGate Country Club. All three take public tee times. GolfLink showed the International at $140-189 for November 5, 2026, and ChampionsGate Country Club from $49. It sits off I-4 about 20 minutes from Disney Springs.
This guide compares the courses, shows what the files say about prices and closures, and covers the Omni and the vacation homes that make ChampionsGate the classic buddies-trip base. Facts were checked in November 2026; rates change.

The International: the one people come for
The International is the better-known of the ChampionsGate golf courses and the tougher. Norman built it to play like a links: no trees, pot bunkers and wind. That makes the breeze the main defence, and March is the windiest month at MCO by NOAA normals, at about 8.8 mph on average. The GolfLink snapshot for November 5, 2026 showed 44 tee times, with the lower prices after 1:50 pm, so a twilight round is the cheap way on. The research's verdict: the better-known of the two, public and around $150-190 in November. See our International course guide.
The National: the friendlier partner
The National is Norman's parkland course: lakes and trees, and more forgiving off the tee. The research suggests pairing it with the International for a 36-hole stay. Check dates first. The Omni's page showed, for 2025, summer closures from May 27 to June 13 and July 28 to August 15 and an overseed window from late October to early November. The 2026 dates could not be read, and the National did not appear in GolfNow's November 5, 2026 inventory, likely because of overseed or Omni-only booking. Our National course guide has more.
ChampionsGate Country Club: the budget option
ChampionsGate Country Club is easy to confuse with the Omni courses but is a separate community course at 8950 Clifton Draw Dr with a Davenport address. It sells public times on GolfNow at about a third of the Omni price, from $49 for November 5, 2026, and is about 20 minutes from Disney by the course's estimate. For a group playing three or four rounds, it is a sensible cheap day between the Norman courses.
Staying at the Omni
The Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate puts both Norman courses about 5 minutes from your room, and guests book tee times through the hotel. The research calls it the best 36-hole stay-and-play resort around Orlando.
| Omni cost | Amount | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Resort fee | $54.96 per room per night | resortfeechecker, May 2026 |
| Resort fee the year before | $45.80 | resortfeechecker, 2025 |
| Self-parking | $38 per night, in/out | resortfeechecker |
| Valet | $50 per night | resortfeechecker |
| Nightly room rate | not in our files |
The fee covers fitness, pools and hot tub, sports equipment, in-room water and coffee, the safe and phone calls. There are pools and a lazy river for families. The catch is distance: park days mean a drive, and Universal is farther still. Compare it with other golf resorts in Orlando golf resorts and Orlando resort fees.
ChampionsGate vacation homes
ChampionsGate vacation homes and condos are the other way to stay: pool homes in the community, with a clubhouse and pools and the Omni next door, rented through owners and agencies. Whether a rental includes resort-rate golf depends on the owner, so get golf terms and community fees in writing. Monthly rates were not in our files.
Nearby, Solterra Resort has pool homes about 8 minutes from the Norman courses but no golf of its own, and Highlands Reserve vacation homes sit beside their own daily-fee course. For more on renting, read Orlando vacation homes for golf. Budget hotels close by include the Hampton Inn Orlando-Maingate South, 6 minutes from ChampionsGate Country Club, and the Holiday Inn Express Orlando South-Davenport, 7 minutes. For RVs, Rainbow Chase and the Fort Summit KOA are a few minutes away.
More golf near ChampionsGate
ChampionsGate's neighbours make a full week:
- Reunion Nicklaus: 5 minutes from the Omni, but for Reunion Resort guests, members and partner-rental guests only. See Reunion Resort golf.
- Mystic Dunes: Gary Koch's rolling public course on US-192.
- Highlands Reserve: an easy-going Mike Dasher course, 6,633 yards at 71.9/123 from the Black tees.
- Providence: $99 before 2 pm in November-December 2026 and $149 before noon in February-March 2027.
- Southern Dunes: Steve Smyers' sand-hill course in Haines City with about 100 feet of elevation change.
Davenport golf covers the US-27 courses in more detail.
A three-day ChampionsGate golf plan
A simple plan for a foursome or a group of 12 in two or three rental homes:
- Day 1: arrive at MCO, then ChampionsGate Country Club in the afternoon as a cheap warm-up.
- Day 2: the International in the morning, with the National after lunch if it is open.
- Day 3: Providence or Highlands Reserve on US-27, or Mystic Dunes on US-192, then dinner and an early night.
If one of the group can get on at Reunion through a rental in its Houseguest Program, swap a day for the Nicklaus course next door. For the Omni courses, book through the hotel if you are staying there to use guest priority; otherwise, check the third-party sites, where the November 2026 snapshot showed lower prices after 1:50 pm. Keep any park day or a round at the Disney courses for mid-morning, after the worst of the I-4 traffic.
When to play ChampionsGate golf
January to April is peak, and ChampionsGate's vacation homes fill with snowbirds and, in March, with spring-break and Canadian March-break families. November and early December are drier and cheaper, but check for overseed closures on the National. June to September is cheapest, with afternoon storms on 14-17 days a month at MCO, so book the first tee times. Buddies groups should look at Orlando buddies golf trip, and for a comparable 36-hole resort base elsewhere, see Scottsdale golf resorts.
Plan it on the map
Open the Orlando golf map to see ChampionsGate golf with the Omni, Reunion and the Davenport courses, and the rentals nearest each. The $49 plan can build a buddies trip around both Norman courses or cover a whole winter stay with a weekly rotation from a ChampionsGate base.

Questions golfers ask
Is ChampionsGate golf open to the public?
Yes. The Omni's International and National courses are resort courses open to the public, with Omni guests getting priority. The separate ChampionsGate Country Club, a community course, sells public tee times on GolfNow.
How much does it cost to play ChampionsGate International?
GolfLink showed 44 tee times for Thursday, November 5, 2026 at $140.28 to $188.66 per player, lower after 1:50 pm. That is a third-party, single-day price; peak January to April rates were not in our files, and rates change.
Which ChampionsGate course is harder?
The International. Greg Norman built it links-style, treeless, with pot bunkers and wind, and the research calls it the tougher of the two. The National is a parkland course with lakes and trees that is more forgiving.
What is ChampionsGate Country Club?
A newer community course in ChampionsGate with a Davenport address, separate from the Omni's two Norman courses. GolfLink says it is a Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design that opened in 2015. GolfNow showed tee times from $49 for November 5, 2026.
What is the resort fee at the Omni ChampionsGate?
$54.96 per room per night (third-party list, May 2026), up from $45.80 in 2025. It covers fitness, pools and hot tub, sports equipment, in-room water and coffee, the safe and phone calls. Self-parking is $38 a night and valet $50.
Do ChampionsGate vacation home rentals include golf?
It depends on the owner. Our files show the two Norman courses sit in the community, but whether a rental includes resort-rate golf was not verified. Get golf terms and community fees in writing before you pay.
When is the ChampionsGate National closed?
The Omni's 2025 schedule showed summer closures May 27-June 13 and July 28-August 15 plus an overseed window in late October and early November. The 2026 dates could not be read, and the National was not in GolfNow's November 5, 2026 inventory. Check before booking.
