Murrells Inlet golf is five regulation courses off US 17 and SC 707, all within 9 minutes of the Hampton Inn Murrells Inlet: TPC Myrtle Beach, Wachesaw East, Blackmoor, International Club and Indigo Creek. TPC is the splurge at about $121 in early November 2026, and the others ran about $45 to $90. The MarshWalk is the evening.
It is the most compact golf base on the South Strand, 19 to 26 minutes from the SkyWheel and 18 to 22 minutes from Litchfield Beach. Rates below were seen on November 1, 2026 on the courses' own booking sites and GolfNow, and change daily.

Two more come with simpler pricing. Indigo Creek publishes a rate card with no year on it: $75 in the morning and $65 in the afternoon from September 15 to November 15 and February 15 to May 15, and $55 and $45 in summer and winter, plus taxes and fees. TPC Myrtle Beach showed from $121 on GolfNow for early November 2026.
TPC Myrtle Beach
TPC opened in 1999, designed by Tom Fazio with Lanny Wadkins, through pines with wetlands in play on 11 holes, narrow fairways and a par-3 17th over water. From the Black tees it rates 74.2/146, so most groups belong a set or two forward. It has hosted the Senior PGA Tour Championship and an NCAA regional, and hosts the Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship each late fall, so check for tournament closures.
TPC has overseeded wall to wall in recent winters, which keeps it green while non-overseeded bermuda goes tan, though fall 2026 overseed was not confirmed. It has no lodging of its own and is one of the 21 courses in Founders Group's fall 2026 all-inclusive package. Plan on a long round on cart-path-only days. See our TPC Myrtle Beach guide and the TPC Myrtle Beach course guide.
Wachesaw East
A 1996 Clyde Johnston shot-maker's course with narrow fairways, bunkering and water. It hosted an LPGA event every year from 1997 to 2000, and Karrie Webb won twice. It is public, though GolfPass labels it semi-private, and 94% of GolfPass reviewers recommend it. Do not confuse it with the private Wachesaw Plantation Club, an early Fazio design next door. See the Wachesaw East course guide.
Blackmoor
Gary Player's only Grand Strand design (1990) sits on the old Longwood Plantation along the Waccamaw, with lakes, oaks, pines and cypress, narrow fairways and some blind approaches. The par-4 8th is a 90-degree dogleg right with a gambling line through the trees. GolfPass ranked it seventh in its Golfers' Choice South Carolina list for 2024, but 2026 reviews are mixed on fairways and tees, so read recent ones. It was listed among wall-to-wall rye courses in 2020.
International Club and Indigo Creek
International Club (2000) is a Willard Byrd course among marsh and mature pines with five tee sets, which suits a mixed-ability group. The par-5 18th finishes over water. One October 2026 reviewer reported a booked time not being honored, so confirm with the pro shop.
Indigo Creek (1990), another Byrd course, is on a former rice and indigo plantation, with a back nine through big oaks and creeks. It is one of the cheapest 18s on the south end, but 2026 reviews repeatedly report poor greens, and its GolfPass conditions score is 3.0 out of 5.
Short golf and practice
Tupelo Bay on US 17 has an 18-hole par-58 executive course of mostly par 3s, a separate par-3 course and a range. GolfNow deals for November 2-8, 2026 ran $31.99 to $36.99 plus a $2.99 fee. It suits an arrival-day warm-up or a beginner, not a trip round.
Prestwick, just up the road
Prestwick, the Pete and P.B. Dye course that won both 2025 course of the year awards, is 14 minutes from the SkyWheel on the way north and suits a group staying in Surfside or south Myrtle Beach. Public times are limited; see the Prestwick Country Club guide.
A three-day Murrells Inlet golf weekend
This is a sample shape built from the drive times on our map, not a package anyone sells.
- Day 1: fly into MYR, about 9 minutes from the SkyWheel, and play an afternoon round at International Club, whose five tee sets suit a group that has not swung in a while. Dinner on the MarshWalk.
- Day 2: TPC Myrtle Beach in the morning, the trip's splurge, then Tupelo Bay's range or par-3 course if anyone still has energy.
- Day 3: Wachesaw East in the morning and Blackmoor after lunch. Both are 6 minutes from the Hampton Inn, and both showed afternoon rates under $70 on a November 2026 weekday.
Add Caledonia or True Blue for a fourth day; from the Hampton Inn Murrells Inlet they are 20 and 18 minutes south.
Where to stay for Murrells Inlet golf
- Hampton Inn Murrells Inlet: off the US 17 Bypass, with free breakfast and parking, 6 minutes from Wachesaw East and Blackmoor, 8 from TPC and close to the MarshWalk.
- Country Inn & Suites Murrells Inlet: an older budget hotel on the bypass with free breakfast and an indoor pool, 6 minutes from Indigo Creek and Tupelo Bay and 9 from TPC. Kayak showed "from $76" a night in an undated snapshot.
- Ocean Lakes Family Campground: on the Surfside side, $50 to $56 a night from November 1 to December 31, 2026 on its official rates page, plus tax.
Room rates at both hotels were "check rates" on November 1, 2026.
After golf in Murrells Inlet
The MarshWalk runs half a mile along the inlet marsh. Drunken Jack's is one of its long-standing seafood dinners, Wicked Tuna has seafood and sushi on a big deck, and Dead Dog Saloon is the party bar with live music. Hot Fish Club at the south end of the inlet and Gulfstream Cafe at the tip of Garden City Beach are quieter. By day, Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington Beach State Park, with the Moorish-style Atalaya house, fill a rainout. Confirm hours before you go; venues were not re-checked. More ideas are in where to eat in Myrtle Beach.
When Murrells Inlet golf is busiest
Spring and October to early November are the peaks, as across the Strand. Spring Bike Week, about ten days in mid-May (May 8-17 in 2026), is centred on Murrells Inlet and Surfside along US 17 Business, and a fall rally ran September 25 to October 4, 2026 per one listing. Expect noise and slow roads those weeks. For the full calendar, read the best time to golf in Myrtle Beach, and for the courses further south, Pawleys Island golf.
