Downtown Biloxi and the casino strip

Mary Mahoney's Old French House is the Biloxi institution: an 18th-century French colonial house on Rue Magnolia, family run for more than 60 years, serving Gulf seafood, gumbo and steaks. It is walkable from Beau Rivage and Hard Rock.

Half Shell Oyster House at 125 Lameuse Street is the downtown original of the Gulf Coast chain, with chargrilled oysters, seafood and steaks, a short walk from the same two casinos.

Casino steakhouses. Each big Biloxi casino has one. BR Prime at Beau Rivage and thirty-two at IP Casino Resort are the usual group-dinner picks; thirty-two is listed as AAA Four Diamond on OpenTable. If you play Fallen Oak, BR Prime is in your own hotel.

Harrah's Gulf Coast in east Biloxi has the widest spread in one building: Coast Chophouse, The Blind Tiger, Port 17, Sizzle & Salt, Beach Wok, Purple Zebra, Steak 'n Shake and Starbucks.

Hotel Legends, across Beach Boulevard from Hard Rock, has the Sapphire Supper Club with live entertainment Thursday to Saturday, and a bar open Wednesday to Sunday from 4 to 10 PM with piano on Wednesdays.

West Biloxi beach

White Pillars is farm-to-table fine dining in a restored mansion across US 90 from the beach at 100 Rodenberg Avenue, rated 4.8 on OpenTable from about 2,300 reviews (July 2026). It is the dress-up dinner of a trip that does not involve a casino.

The Reef at 1749 Beach Boulevard is casual beachfront seafood (gumbo, fried baskets, oysters) with an open-air upstairs Sky Bar over the Sound. Reviews mention slow weekend service.

The White House Hotel has Cora's Restaurant & Bar in the lobby (brunch, dinner, happy hour) and a rooftop bar. Treasure Bay has Agua, blu, the Infinity Buffet, The Cove and The Den.

The closest course to this stretch is Sunkist Country Club, whose clubhouse has a bar and grill; see the Sunkist course guide. Sunkist is about 12 minutes from Treasure Bay and 16 from the White House.

Ocean Springs and the east end

Downtown Ocean Springs is a walkable district of galleries, shops and restaurants on Washington Avenue and Government Street, about 15 minutes east of the casinos. It is the natural dinner stop after Shell Landing in Gautier or The Preserve in Vancleave.

  • Vestige serves a chef's-choice multi-course tasting menu on Washington Avenue. Its OpenTable listing calls it James Beard nominated and Michelin recommended, rated 5.0 from about 780 reviews. Book well ahead.
  • Desi Vega Steakhouse is a USDA Prime steakhouse inside the OS1515 Hotel at 1555 Government Street. Business casual; dinner Tuesday to Saturday and Sunday brunch per OpenTable, though hours vary by listing.
  • The Roost has the Maringouin speakeasy-style cocktail and wine bar.
  • Gulf Hills Hotel has the Sunset Lounge for cocktails, with a Golden Hour 30 minutes before sunset. It has no restaurant.

Our Ocean Springs golf guide covers the courses and stays here.

Gulfport and Long Beach

The Chimneys at 1640 East Beach Boulevard is waterfront seafood, rebuilt after Katrina, known for trout almandine and crab cakes. Reservations go through Tock. Gulfport is also home to Bayou Vista, the city course whose new clubhouse has a full bar and food, and Golden Tee.

Darwell's Cafe at 127 East First Street in Long Beach is a quirky Cajun cafe featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives: etouffee, gumbo, the crawdaddy burger, BYOB and live music. Listings disagree on its days and hours, so call ahead.

Hotel options in Gulfport: the Hilton Garden Inn Gulfport Airport has the Garden Grille & Bar for breakfast, dinner and drinks, and the Courtyard Gulfport Beachfront has The Bistro for breakfast, dinner and cocktails. Island View Casino Resort has several restaurants, bars and a buffet.

Windance Country Club, north of I-10, has its own clubhouse restaurant and bar, good for lunch at the turn or after the round. The Windance course guide has tee times and rates.

Bay St. Louis and Diamondhead

The Blind Tiger on North Beach Boulevard is an open-air beach bar and grill overlooking the Bay of St. Louis, serving tacos, fish and burgers with sunsets. It is the easy after-round stop on the west end. Old Town Bay St. Louis, a small main street with shops, restaurants and the restored 1928 depot, makes a good group evening.

  • Pearl Hotel: Thorny Oyster (restaurant and raw bar) and Hinge (cocktail lounge).
  • Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast: Celebrity Grill, Bogarts, the Epic Buffet, the Hollydeck Bar & Marina, and the Bridges Grill at the course. The hotel golf packages come with a $20 or $50 food credit usable at Celebrity Grill, Bogarts, Bridges Grill and Epic Buffet.
  • Silver Slipper: on-site restaurants and a Beach Bar open Thursday to Sunday, 11 AM to 7 PM.

At the courses, the Bridges Grill serves the Bunker Dog, Clubhouse Burger and Club Sandwich (Bridges course guide). The Club at Diamondhead has the Latitude 30 Patio and Grill and The Oak Room, shared by the Cardinal and Pine courses. See our Bay St. Louis golf guide for the area.

Eating at the courses

Most coast courses have food, which matters on a 36-hole day:

  • Grand Bear: Grand Bear Grill & Bar on site, handy since the course sits about six miles into the De Soto National Forest.
  • The Bridges: Bridges Grill in the clubhouse.
  • Diamondhead: Latitude 30 Patio and Grill and The Oak Room; the restaurants are open to the public.
  • Windance: clubhouse restaurant and bar.
  • Sunkist: bar and grill.
  • Bayou Vista: new clubhouse with full bar and food.

We did not find published food details for Fallen Oak, The Preserve or Shell Landing, so ask when you book. The Preserve's rate includes water, and Fallen Oak's transport runs from Beau Rivage.

Planning dinners on a golf trip

  • Book Vestige, White Pillars and The Chimneys before the trip, especially for a group.
  • Downtown Biloxi works without a car from Beau Rivage or Hard Rock.
  • US 90 is slow during Cruisin' the Coast and Mardi Gras parades, so allow extra time to cross town for dinner.
  • On a rainy day, the casinos double as the default plan, with restaurants, spas and shows under one roof. See rainy day in Biloxi and things to do in Biloxi.
