Bay St. Louis golf is a five-course cluster on the west end of the Mississippi coast: The Bridges at Hollywood Casino, the Cardinal and Pine courses at Diamondhead, and Pass Christian Isles and The Oaks in Pass Christian. Every one sells public tee times, and all five are within about 32 minutes of Hollywood Casino, so a base in Bay St. Louis or Diamondhead covers a full trip.
This guide compares the five, with rates seen in October 2026, booking windows and the hotels closest to each tee. Rates change by season and day, so check before you book.

The Bridges Golf Club
The Bridges is the hardest course on the west coast of Mississippi, an Arnold Palmer marsh and wetland layout on about 600 acres by the Bay of St. Louis, with live oaks, pines and magnolias. More than 21 wooden bridges total nearly a mile. It is billed as Mississippi's only Arnold Palmer Signature course and is Audubon International Certified Silver Signature.
Move up a set: the Purple tees play a 144 slope, and even the White tees carry a 139 slope for women. The Teal forward tees are 5,108 yards.
Rates seen for late October to November 8, 2026 were $99 Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and $109 Friday to Sunday before 2 PM, and $65 weekday or $75 weekend from 2 PM. The hotel's golf page listed $89 and $99 from December 1 to February 13, and $119 and $129 from February 14 to May 31. GolfNow Hot Deals for August to October 2026 ran about $48 to $81, prepaid.
It is closed every Tuesday (open Wednesday to Monday, 7 AM to 5:30 PM). Lunch is at the Bridges Grill. See our Bridges course guide and Hollywood Casino Bay St. Louis golf.
The Club at Diamondhead: Cardinal and Pine
Diamondhead has two 18s on one property, owned by the Diamondhead Property Owners Association, with a public online tee sheet and posted public rates.
- Cardinal (1978): wooded parkland, the newer and usually higher-rated course. Six combo tees run from 4,084 to 6,729 yards.
- Pine (1969): the original, pine-lined course. The USGA rates it slightly harder from the back (136 slope against 131).
The 2026 rack rate is the same for both: $115 any day before 12:30 PM, $95 after 12:30 PM and $75 after 2:30 PM during daylight saving time, including cart, tax and range balls. The online sheet was cheaper on October 26, 2026: about $107, $89 or $70 all-in depending on time. Same-day replay is $35, which makes 36 holes easy. Walking is allowed only after 2:30 PM.
Ask the shop which course is in play; on some days the sheet shows only one. The club's Golf Academy, billed as the only indoor/outdoor academy on the coast, is a good rainy-day option. See the Diamondhead course guide and our Diamondhead golf guide.
Pass Christian Isles Golf Club
Pass Christian Isles is a 1914 Tom Bendelow course in a quiet Pass Christian neighborhood, and the club calls itself the oldest on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It is short and old-fashioned, with tree-lined fairways and small greens.
It is the value round of the cluster: $52 Monday to Saturday before about 3:30 PM, and $36 from 3:30 PM and all day Sunday, cart included. Visitors can book seven days ahead on foreUP, and Saturday mornings can be blocked for club events. Recent reviews say conditioning is hit or miss, so check before a big group booking. See the Pass Christian Isles course guide.
The Oaks Golf Club
The Oaks is the longest and toughest public course west of Gulfport: 7,006 yards and a 140 slope from the Gold tees, down to 4,691 from the Red. It sits inside a housing community, with timberland and wetlands.
Rates seen for late October and November 2026 were $99 weekday and $109 weekend before about 2 PM, $59 and $69 from 2 PM, and $39 and $49 from about 4 PM. Winter weekday rates for December 2026 to February 2027 were $89. The public sheet is open 365 days ahead, so groups can lock spring dates early. Cancel at least 48 hours out or the card is charged, and expect cart-path-only after rain. It is about 10 minutes north of Pass Christian Isles, so the two make a 36-hole Pass Christian day.
Off the board: Millbrook in Picayune
Millbrook Golf & Country Club in Picayune is about 45 minutes inland on I-59 and about 58 minutes from Hollywood Casino on our router. It runs a public booking engine, with top public rates of $55 weekday and $65 weekend seen in October 2026. It is worth the drive only from a Bay St. Louis or Diamondhead base or on the way in from New Orleans.
