Where to stay in Biloxi for golf depends on which courses you play. The casino strip puts Fallen Oak, Sunkist, The Preserve and Shell Landing within about 30 minutes. Gulfport is closest to Windance, Bayou Vista and the airport. Ocean Springs suits east-side rounds, and Diamondhead or Bay St. Louis suits The Bridges, Diamondhead and The Oaks.
The Mississippi Gulf Coast is long. Downtown Biloxi to The Bridges is about 56 minutes by the map's routing, so one base rarely suits every course. This guide splits the coast into five bases, shows drive times and sample hotel rates for each, and says who each base suits. Rates were read on October 25, 2026 for Tuesday, November 10 and Saturday, November 21. They are typical prices, not quotes.
Quick facts
- Best all-round base: the Biloxi casino strip, central to the most courses.

Minutes by road. Fallen Oak is for Beau Rivage guests only, whatever your base.
Biloxi casino strip
Who it suits: first-timers, buddies trips that want casino nights, and anyone playing Fallen Oak.
Beach Boulevard and the Back Bay hold the big casino resorts. Beau Rivage opens Fallen Oak. Palace Casino Resort packages The Preserve. Harrah's Gulf Coast links to Grand Bear through Caesars Rewards discounts, with Deluxe 2-queen rooms at $121 on the Tuesday and $289 on the Saturday, fees included. Hard Rock, IP and Golden Nugget have no golf tie-in. Rates for Beau Rivage, Palace, Hard Rock, IP and Golden Nugget were not checked, so compare weeknights.
Non-casino options on the strip are Hotel Legends, an all-suite hotel across from Hard Rock (queen suites $109 on the Tuesday, two-bedroom suites $179), and the historic White House Hotel on the west beach (queens $119). Treasure Bay on the west beach was from about $58 midweek through online agencies.
From Beau Rivage, Sunkist is the closest public 18 at about 19 minutes, and Shell Landing is 25.
D'Iberville and the Back Bay
Who it suits: groups who want quick interstate runs both ways and a lower price than the beach.
Hampton Inn & Suites D'Iberville sits at the I-10 / I-110 junction with free breakfast, $101 on the Tuesday and $128-$136 on the Saturday. King studio suites sleep four. Scarlet Pearl, the best-reviewed casino hotel here (Google 4.4), was $99 on its own site on the Tuesday and $279 on the Saturday. This base is the shortest drive on the map to Fallen Oak, at 23-25 minutes, though only Beau Rivage guests can play it.
Ocean Springs and the I-10 east exits
Who it suits: groups playing The Preserve and Shell Landing, and couples who want a walkable town.
The Hampton Inn Biloxi/Ocean Springs at I-10 exit 50 is 17 minutes from The Preserve and 21 from Shell Landing, with kings at $80 and two-double rooms at $96 on the Tuesday. Gulf Hills Hotel is a restored 1927 golf resort on the bayou (2-queen rooms from $117 on the Tuesday). Its 18-hole course closed in 2019, and the status of the nine-hole course there is unclear. The Roost is a boutique hotel in downtown Ocean Springs, $229-$329 on the Tuesday, better for couples. Our Ocean Springs golf guide covers the area.
Gulfport
Who it suits: groups flying into Gulfport-Biloxi and playing the middle and west of the coast.
Island View owns Windance and sells an Unlimited Golf package from $99, with no resort fee. Room rates were not shown online, so call. The Hilton Garden Inn Gulfport Airport is three minutes from Bayou Vista, the city course ($28 with cart, seen October 2026; rates change), and 22 from Windance. It is unusual in costing less at weekends: kings $88 on the Saturday against $138 on the Tuesday. The Courtyard Gulfport Beachfront is on the beach road, $118 on the Tuesday, plus $5 parking.
Diamondhead and Bay St. Louis
Who it suits: groups playing The Bridges, Diamondhead and The Oaks, and drive-ins from New Orleans.
Hollywood Casino has The Bridges two minutes away and a Tuesday room at $63.98 with the resort fee, against $283.98 on the Saturday. The Bridges is closed on Tuesdays. The Ramada Diamondhead is six minutes from Diamondhead, with free breakfast, parking for trailers and 2-queen rooms from $87. The Pearl Hotel in Old Town Bay St. Louis lets you walk to dinner (2-queen rooms from $129 on the Tuesday). The adults-only Silver Slipper is cheap midweek but remote. See the Bay St. Louis golf guide.
Event weeks that change the answer
Some weeks fill one part of the coast and leave another quiet, so check the calendar before you pick a base:
- Cruisin' the Coast (the first full week of October; October 4-11 in 2026) fills rooms from Bay St. Louis to Pascagoula and slows US 90 all week. Avoid it or book far ahead.
- Mardi Gras parades close US 90 and downtown streets, and Biloxi and Gulfport hotels fill on the final parade weekend and Fat Tuesday (February 9, 2027).
- The Crawfish Music Festival at the Coliseum in west Biloxi adds weekend demand nearby in April.
- The Billfish Classic in early June fills east Biloxi hotels around Point Cadet for the week.
- The Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo brings July 4 weekend crowds to downtown Gulfport.
- The Peter Anderson Arts and Crafts Festival fills Ocean Springs on its November weekend.
On those dates, a base at the other end of the coast can be cheaper and quieter. Our Biloxi events calendar has the details.
How to choose
- List your courses. If Fallen Oak is on it, book Beau Rivage for at least that night.
- Count the drives. If more than half your rounds are west of Gulfport, base west.
- Split the stay on longer trips. Two nights on the Biloxi strip and two in Bay St. Louis keep each day's drive short.
- Shift nights to midweek. Our weekday vs weekend hotel prices guide shows the spreads.
