Guide emblem: Bay Breeze Golf Course at Keesler AFB: who can play, what it costs, and where everyone else goes

Bay Breeze Golf Course at Keesler is the Air Force course on Keesler AFB in Biloxi, open to active duty, retirees, DoD employees and their guests. Civilians without base access can play only after a same-day background check at the base Visitors Center on a weekday. Posted twilight rates are $24 to $32 with a cart (seen October 2026).

For military golfers it is a bargain a few minutes from the casinos. For most trip groups, the gate process is more hassle than it is worth, and the public courses nearby are the better plan. This guide covers both: the access rules and rates at Bay Breeze, and where everyone else should play.

Who can play Bay Breeze Golf Course at Keesler

Bay Breeze is a military course, not a public one. Its regular players are:

  • Active-duty personnel.
  • Military retirees.
  • DoD employees.
  • Guests of the above.

If you have base access, you simply call the pro shop for a time.

The civilian visitor-pass route

Civilians without base access can still play, but it takes planning. These are the steps on the 81st FSS course page, read October 25, 2026:

  1. Call the pro shop at 228-377-3832 and give your full name.
  2. Go to the Keesler Visitors Center the same day with ID, vehicle registration and proof of insurance for a background check.
  3. Request up to 30 days of access at once, which covers a full trip.

The Visitors Center is open Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 3 PM. That means a weekend pass has to be sorted on a weekday. If your group arrives Friday evening for a weekend of golf, you cannot get on.

The Bay Breeze Golf Course page on the Keesler 81st FSS site posts twilight and TDY prices. Standard daytime rates are not posted, so ask the pro shop.

How Bay Breeze plays

Bay Breeze Golf Course at Keesler is a flat bayside course along the Back Bay of Biloxi, beside the Keesler flightline. These are the USGA ratings:
