Slope ladder: Driving ranges in Laughlin: where to practice, the Havasu simulator and club rental

There is no standalone driving range in Laughlin, Bullhead City or Lake Havasu City, so practice happens at the golf courses. Laughlin Ranch, 9 minutes from the casinos, has a grass range with short-game areas and teaching pros. Mojave Resort has a range by the Avi, and Iron Wolf in Lake Havasu City has Toptracer bays.

That matters if you want a warm-up bucket before a round, a lesson during a winter stay or somewhere to hit balls on a day off. This guide lists every practice facility in our research, the range passes, the one indoor simulator, and where to rent clubs if you fly in without your own. Prices were seen in October 2026 where published; most range and lesson prices were not.

Drive times are free-flow estimates from Laughlin in our research. Range prices were not published for most of these facilities, so ask when you book a tee time.

Laughlin Ranch: the most complete practice area

Laughlin Ranch's practice range is the best set-up near the casinos: a grass driving range with chipping, bunker and putting areas, and teaching professionals running a golf school. It sits at the course at 1360 William Hardy Dr in Bullhead City, about 9 minutes from the strip, on Arizona time.

If you are playing the course, arrive early and warm up there; the green fee includes a mandatory cart, and the club does not allow outside food or drink. Range fees were not part of our research, so ask the shop (928-754-1243). For snowbirds, the club also mentions memberships and a Locals Pass, without published terms. The Laughlin Ranch course guide has its green fees.

Mojave Resort and Huukan: south of the strip

Mojave Resort, beside the Avi Resort & Casino, has a driving range listed by GolfLink at about 30 tees, a chipping and pitching area, a putting green and a teaching pro, per GolfNow. Rental clubs are available. It is on Pacific time, so the range opening hour matches your Laughlin hotel clock. The course is open daily from dawn to 5:00 PM, per the Avi's golf page. The Mojave Resort course guide covers the layout.

Huukan, the former Desert Lakes in Fort Mohave and run by the same operator, has a driving range, a pro shop and club rentals. Note that the operator says Huukan closes from June 1 until its overseed is complete, about October 1.

Los Lagos is listed in directories with a full practice facility including a driving range. Its clubhouse and pro shop were closed for fire repairs and remodeling in summer and fall 2026, so check which services are running before you go.

Rivers Edge: a range pass for a winter stay

Rivers Edge, the City of Needles' riverside course, has a range and sells a range pass for $64.95 a month or $300 a year on its 2026-27 membership page. Its golf passes include the range: the monthly pass with cart and range is $425 and the 3-month pass with cart and range is $1,200. For a snowbird who practises most days, that is the clearest practice deal on the river. Prices are subject to change. Rivers Edge runs on Pacific time.

Lake Havasu City: Toptracer and a simulator

Iron Wolf has the only Toptracer range in our research, and the Iron Wolf course guide covers the course itself. The bays are open Wednesday to Sunday and closed Monday and Tuesday; call 928-764-1404, extension 123. The club also has a putting green, a chipping area and a teaching pro, plus a restaurant and bar open to the public. It is about 86 minutes from Laughlin, so it suits a Havasu stay rather than a quick bucket from the casinos.

Back Nine Golf, at 1850 McCulloch Blvd N, Suite B1, runs indoor golf simulators bookable through GolfNow and TeeOff listings. It is the only simulator venue found anywhere on our map, and the best option on a windy or wet day or a hot summer evening.

Lake Havasu Golf Club, home of the Desert West and Desert East courses, offers lessons and clinics. No practice range is listed for it in our research.

Warming up before a tee time

Because the ranges are at the courses, a warm-up means arriving early rather than stopping on the way. Allow for the drive and the clock. A golfer staying on Casino Drive with a 9:00 AM winter tee time at Laughlin Ranch is on the range by about 8:30 Arizona time, which is 7:30 on the hotel clock; the drive is about 9 minutes. At Mojave Resort, the same 9:00 AM tee time is on Pacific time, so no adjustment, but the drive is about 27 minutes. Mojave Resort is flat and open, and wind is its main defence, so a few knock-down shots on the range are time well spent.

Renting clubs if you fly in

No standalone golf retail store or club-rental delivery service was verified anywhere on the map, so the course pro shops are the place for rental sets, balls and gloves.

  • Lake Havasu Golf Club: TaylorMade rental sets at $80 for 18 holes or $40 for 9; no 18-hole rentals after noon.
  • Mojave Resort: rental clubs available.
  • Huukan: club rentals at the pro shop.

Other courses did not list rentals in our research. Ask when you book, especially for a group, since sets are limited. If you are flying into Las Vegas, our Las Vegas to Laughlin guide covers the drive.

Courses with unclear status

Two other places once offered practice or rentals. Willow Springs in Mohave Valley, a par-3 nine listed with a 24-tee range, has an unclear status: call first. Bridgewater Links, the par-30 nine at London Bridge Resort with rental clubs and a pro shop, is also status unclear, call first.

Practising around the weather and the clock

Winter mornings are cold, with December and January lows around 44F at Laughlin, so a late-morning bucket is more pleasant than a dawn one. From May to September, practice is a first-light activity: Laughlin's normal July high is 109.8F. From November 1, 2026 to March 14, 2027, the Arizona ranges open an hour earlier than the Laughlin clock suggests. See Laughlin weather by month and the Laughlin time zone guide.

For a full winter, our snowbird golf schedule shows how to fit practice days into a weekly rotation, and things to do in Laughlin covers rainy days off the course. Yuma visitors can compare Yuma golf practice facilities.

Plan it on the map

Every course with a range in this guide is on the Laughlin 3D map, with drive times and the rates seen in October 2026. The $30 plan can build practice sessions into a short trip or a whole winter stay with a weekly course rotation.
