A good snowbird golf schedule in Laughlin plays the expensive course on its cheaper weekdays, keeps the pass course as a fixed weekly round, groups courses by side of the river and clock, and spaces out the Fort Mohave courses. From Bullhead City that means six rounds across eight courses within 40 minutes.
This guide gives a sample snowbird golf schedule from a Bullhead City base and another from Lake Havasu City, with the facts behind each choice. Prices and dates were seen in October 2026 and change.
Quick facts

Why each course sits where it does
Monday, Laughlin Ranch. The priciest round on the north end, so play it when it costs least. The 2027 rate table shows $137 Mon-Thu and $147 Fri-Sun from Nov 20 to Jan 31, $147 Mon-Thu and $157 Fri-Sun from Feb 1 to 21, and $159 and $169 from Feb 22 to Apr 11. Golfers with a local ZIP code pay $95-$105. A cart is mandatory, and the club app sends Daily Deals texts and runs a tee time waitlist. Cancel 24 hours ahead or pay 50%.
Tuesday, Rivers Edge. The City of Needles' riverside course sells a monthly pass with cart and range for $425, a walking monthly pass for $285 and a 3-month pass for $1,200. A fixed weekly round makes a pass easier to plan around. It is in California, on Pacific time, so a 9:00 tee time is 10:00 on a Bullhead clock in winter.
Wednesday, Huukan or Los Lagos. Two Fort Mohave courses with different characters. Huukan, the old Desert Lakes, is flat, tree-lined and watery, slope 115 from 6,444 yards. Los Lagos is a long Ted Robinson desert course, 6,921 yards and slope 126. Ask Los Lagos about conditions and whether both nines are open, since 2025 storm damage closed the front nine for a long stretch. Los Lagos also lists a weekly Ladies League on Thursdays through Nov 26, 2026, which is why it sits on Wednesday here.
Thursday, Mojave Resort. A flat Schmidt-Curley course beside the Avi Resort & Casino, slope 136 from the 6,939-yard Black tees, where wind is the main defence. Its tee sheet runs on Pacific time, so from a Bullhead base a 9:00 tee time here is 10:00 on your Arizona clock. No rate card is published; call 702-535-4653.
Friday, a short nine. Riverview is a 1,160-yard par-3 nine inside a 55+ RV resort that sells public tee times; GolfNow deals of $10-$13 plus a $0.99 fee were listed for late October 2026. Chaparral, the city-run 9-holer played as a par-60 loop, is closed for reseeding until Nov 10, 2026.
Saturday, El Rio. At 7,143 yards from the Gold tees it is the second-longest course on the north board, behind Laughlin Ranch's 7,155; most groups belong on the Black tees at 6,638. It was $45 with cart in August 2026, and winter rates are not published. It has dropped off GolfNow, so call 928-768-3574 to confirm it is taking winter bookings.
The Lake Havasu version
From Lake Havasu City, the rotation is tighter: three full-length courses in town and one in Parker.
| Day | Course | Price seen (Oct 2026) | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | Lake Havasu Golf Club Desert West | $94 before noon, $50 after 3 PM | The stronger test |
| Wednesday | Iron Wolf | No posted rate; about $85 peak (aggregator) | Toptracer open Wed-Sun |
| Thursday | Lake Havasu Golf Club Desert East | $82 before noon, $48 after 3 PM | Easier, cheaper |
| Friday | Emerald Canyon (Parker) | $80 with cart (winter 2025-26) | Book within 7 days |
| Saturday | Desert West after 3 PM | $50 | About two and a half hours of light in midwinter |
Lake Havasu Golf Club Desert West and Desert East share a clubhouse and tee sheet, which shows about a week at a time. Iron Wolf was reported closed on Tuesdays in an earlier listing, so Tuesday is left free. Emerald Canyon charged $80 if booked within 7 days and $90 further out in winter 2025-26, so book it the week before. See the Lake Havasu Golf Club course guide and Emerald Canyon course guide for tees.
Adjusting the snowbird schedule through the season
- November: Courses are coming off overseed. Chaparral is closed until Nov 10, Emerald Canyon reopens about Nov 1-2, and the Havasu West course had no public times from Oct 29 to Nov 5, 2026. Highs average about 74F at Laughlin, and the clocks split on Nov 1.
- December: Highs in the mid-60s and the coldest mornings, about 44F. Short days push tee times into late morning and midday, so shift to 10:00 or later starts.
- January to March: Peak season. Morning tee times and season passes sell first, so book your weekly slots well ahead. February is the wettest month on average, about 1.2 inches over 3-4 days, so keep a spare day.
- March 14, 2027: The clocks match again, which simplifies the Pacific-time rounds.
- April: Winter visitors leave and tee times open up. The late-April Mayhem Motorcycle Rally in Bullhead City brings heavy traffic and higher room rates, so plan drives around it.
Tips for running a snowbird golf schedule in Laughlin
- Write the clock next to every tee time. A Pacific-time course booked from an Arizona base is the easiest way to miss a slot. Our Laughlin time zone guide explains the split.
- Learn each booking system. Laughlin Ranch uses Chronogolf and its app, Mojave Resort and Huukan use EZLinks, Rivers Edge uses Club Caddie, and Lake Havasu Golf Club uses Quick18. See Laughlin tee times for booking windows.
- Price a membership if you settle in Havasu. A one-month individual membership at Lake Havasu Golf Club was $1,125; see golf season passes for Lake Havasu and Laughlin.
- Keep conditions in mind. El Rio reviews mention thin fairways while the overseed fills in, so play it later in the season.
The Laughlin Ranch course guide has the full rate bands, and the Mojave Resort course guide covers the Nevada-side round in your snowbird schedule. For the bigger picture, read Laughlin winter golf and Laughlin golf rates. Yuma snowbirds follow a similar pattern in the Yuma golf weekly schedule.

Questions golfers ask
How many courses can a snowbird rotate through near Laughlin?
From a Bullhead City base, eight courses open to visitors are within about 40 minutes of the Laughlin bridge: Laughlin Ranch, Riverview, Chaparral, Mojave Resort, Huukan, El Rio, Los Lagos and Rivers Edge. Lake Havasu adds Lake Havasu Golf Club's two courses and Iron Wolf, about 90 minutes south.
Which days are cheapest at Laughlin Ranch?
Monday to Thursday. On the 2027 table the Nov 20 to Jan 31 non-resident rate is $137 Mon-Thu against $147 Fri-Sun, and the peak band is $159 against $169. Pricing is dynamic, so it can go higher.
Do I need to watch the clock when I rotate courses?
Yes. Mojave Resort and Rivers Edge keep Pacific-time tee sheets, while the Bullhead, Fort Mohave, Mohave Valley and Havasu courses run on Arizona time. From Nov 1, 2026 to Mar 14, 2027, Arizona is one hour ahead of Laughlin.
What time should snowbirds tee off in winter?
Not too early in midwinter. Laughlin's normal January low is about 45F, so early tee times are cold and frost delays are possible. December days are short, which compresses tee sheets into late morning and midday.
Is Iron Wolf open every day?
An earlier listing said Iron Wolf is closed Tuesdays, and new visitor hours took effect with its October 2026 reopening, details not found. Its Toptracer range is open Wednesday to Sunday. Call 928-764-1404 before you build a Tuesday around it.
How should the schedule change in November?
Several courses are still coming back from overseed. Chaparral is closed until Nov 10, 2026, Emerald Canyon reopens about Nov 1-2, and the Lake Havasu Golf Club West course showed no public times from Oct 29 to Nov 5, 2026.
Can the rotation include a pass course?
Yes. Rivers Edge in Needles sells a monthly pass with cart and range for $425 and a 3-month pass for $1,200 (2026-27, subject to change). It makes sense as a regular weekly round for a long stay.
