Kingman golf courses are a short drive over the hill from the Colorado River: Cerbat Cliffs, the City of Kingman's municipal course, is about 50 minutes from the Laughlin-Bullhead City Bridge, and Valle Vista, out on Route 66, is about 70 minutes. Both are public 18-hole, par-72 courses, and Kingman runs on Arizona time.

This guide compares the two Kingman golf courses, the drive from Laughlin and Bullhead City, and when a Kingman round is worth it on a river golf trip.

Quick facts

  • Courses: Cerbat Cliffs (municipal) and Valle Vista, both public, 18 holes, par 72.
  • Drive from the Laughlin-Bullhead City Bridge: Cerbat Cliffs about 50 min (35.8 mi); Valle Vista about 70 min (52.4 mi).
  • Route: AZ-68 east from Bullhead City over Union Pass to US-93 near Kingman.
  • Fees seen: Cerbat Cliffs $50 with cart (GolfNow, August 23, 2026) and $72.94 for 18 (GolfLink, September 8, 2026). Valle Vista not published.

  • Why go: a change of scene from the river courses, or a stop on the drive to or from Phoenix.

Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course

Cerbat Cliffs, also known as Kingman Municipal Golf Course, is the city's course. The Explore Kingman blog called it "Kingman's premier municipal golf course" in July 2026. Directory listings credit Milton Coggins with the design and give 1973 as the opening year.

The research describes it as an upland alternative to the river courses. Directory listings give it bentgrass greens and bermuda fairways. Most river courses on this map are bermuda, overseeded with rye in winter.

Tee Yards Par Rating / slope

Gold6,1277269.6 / 125 (men)

Copper4,8677263.8 / 114 (men), 68.1 / 120 (women)

GolfNow's quick facts show par 71, while the tee table shows 72. A slope of 128 from the Black tees makes it a solid test, between the gentler Huukan in Fort Mohave (115) and the much tougher Laughlin Ranch (143).

Rates. No official rate card was found. Third-party listings from late summer 2026:

  • $50 with a cart, GolfNow Hot Deal, August 23, 2026.
  • $72.94 for 18 holes and $40.52 for 9, GolfLink, September 8, 2026.

Winter 2026-27 rates were not found. The city offers annual passes; details were not published.

Booking and dress. GolfNow and TeeOff resell tee times. GolfNow lists a collared-shirt rule, soft spikes only and no denim. The status was confirmed by an active GolfNow page in October 2026 and bookable times in August and September 2026. No overseed dates were published.

Valle Vista Golf Course

Valle Vista is about 17 miles east of Kingman on Historic Route 66. Explore Kingman describes a championship course with raised tees and mountain views, and a clubhouse with a pro shop, bar and a breakfast and lunch restaurant. Hours are 6 AM to 3 PM daily.

Details are thin. The tourism site gives about 6,266 yards, but no course ratings were found, and no rates or 2026 tee sheet were seen. The July 8, 2026 Explore Kingman post describes it as operating. Call 928-757-3213 before you drive out.

At about 70 minutes from the bridge, Valle Vista is a long way for a day trip from the river. It makes sense if you are travelling Route 66 or already staying in Kingman.

The drive over the hill

Kingman sits east of the river. The main road is AZ-68, which runs east from Bullhead City over Union Pass to US-93 near Kingman. The research puts Laughlin to Kingman at about 46 minutes and 33.5 miles by free-flow estimate.

Drive times to Cerbat Cliffs from stays on the map:

Stay Drive to Cerbat Cliffs
Riverside Resort, Laughlin51 min, 36.4 mi
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bullhead City56 min, 39.5 mi
Riverview RV Resort, Bullhead City58 min, 40.7 mi
Avi Resort & Casino, south Laughlin75 min, 51.0 mi
London Bridge Resort, Lake Havasu City74 min, 62.7 mi

The scenic alternative is old Route 66 through Oatman, the gold-mining town known for its wandering burros, about 48 minutes from the Laughlin bridge. The road on from Oatman to Kingman over Sitgreaves Pass is narrow and winding, so it suits a sightseeing day, not a dash to a morning tee time. See things to do in Laughlin for Oatman and other day trips.

Kingman on the Phoenix drive

If you fly into Phoenix, Kingman is on your way. The research routes Phoenix Sky Harbor to Laughlin up US-93 through Wickenburg to I-40 at Kingman, then west on AZ-68, about 284 minutes and 227.8 miles by free-flow estimate. Fuel up in Wickenburg; parts of US-93 have few services.

That makes Cerbat Cliffs, the closer of the Kingman golf courses, a natural first or last round on a trip that starts or ends in Phoenix. Most visitors fly into Las Vegas instead, which is about 139 minutes from Laughlin and does not pass through Kingman. See flights to Laughlin for the airport options.

The Arizona clock

Both Kingman golf courses are in Arizona, which keeps Mountain Standard Time all year with no daylight saving. From November 1, 2026 to March 14, 2027, Arizona is one hour ahead of Laughlin: a 10:00 AM tee time at Cerbat Cliffs is 9:00 AM on a Casino Drive clock. Add that hour to the 50-minute drive if you leave from a Laughlin casino. Bullhead City is on the same clock as Kingman. The Laughlin time zone guide explains it.

Should you add a Kingman round?

  • Yes, Cerbat Cliffs, if you are on a long winter stay and want variety, if you are driving to or from Phoenix, or if you want a bentgrass-green round.
  • Maybe, Valle Vista, only if you are passing along Route 66 or staying in Kingman.
  • No, on a short 3-day trip based in Laughlin: the river has plenty of courses within 30 minutes, including Laughlin Ranch about 9 minutes from the bridge.

For the river courses, see Laughlin golf courses, Bullhead City golf and the Laughlin winter golf guide. Course pages: the Cerbat Cliffs course guide, the Valle Vista course guide and the Laughlin Ranch course guide.

Plan it on the map

Open the Laughlin golf map to see the Kingman courses alongside every course and stay on the river, with drive times and both clocks marked. The $30 plan can slot a Kingman day into a trip, or into a whole winter stay with a weekly rotation.
