Bullhead City golf means three courses in town: Laughlin Ranch, the best and dearest course on the river; Chaparral, a short city-owned nine; and Riverview, a par-3 nine inside an RV resort. Huukan, El Rio and Los Lagos are 15 to 40 minutes south. Golfers base here for Arizona time, quieter stays and monthly winter rates.
Bullhead City sits on the Arizona bank, straight across the Laughlin-Bullhead City Bridge from the casinos. You can play its courses from a Laughlin hotel, or stay on this side, as winter visitors filling the RV resorts do.

Laughlin Ranch: Bullhead City's headline course
Laughlin Ranch is the headline reason to cross the bridge. David Druzisky's 2005 design climbs the foothills east of town, with elevation changes, arroyos and forced carries over desert washes, and views back to the Colorado River. From the Gold tees it plays 7,155 yards with a slope of 143; Zinc (6,565 yards, slope 137) and Silver (6,091 yards) are the shorter options.
It is a full club: the clubhouse has the SLATE restaurant, a spa, fitness center, pool and hot tubs. A cart is mandatory. The 2027 table runs from $80 Monday to Thursday in late summer to $169 Friday to Sunday in spring. Bullhead City is also where the local discount pays: residents with a local ZIP code pay $95 to $105 in winter and peak, about $50 less, so snowbirds with a winter address in the area should ask whether it qualifies. The club app sends Daily Deals text alerts and runs a tee-time waitlist. See the Laughlin Ranch course guide and our Laughlin Ranch Golf Club guide.
Chaparral: the city's original course
Chaparral opened in 1966 near the river and is Bullhead City's original course. It is a short 9-holer played as an 18-hole executive loop of par 60, with the front nine from the blue tees and the back nine from the red. The City of Bullhead City took it over in fall 2025, and deeds were recorded on January 5, 2026. The city now runs the restaurant and bar and offers social memberships with pool access.
It is closed for reseeding until November 10, 2026, so it is out for anyone arriving earlier in November. No current rate card is published. The Chaparral course guide and our guide to Chaparral golf course in Bullhead City have more.
Riverview: a par-3 nine anyone can play
Riverview is a 1,160-yard, par-27 nine among palms and water hazards, inside a gated 55+ RV resort. The course opened in 1982. You do not need to stay there: it sold public GolfNow tee times for October 28 to November 3, 2026, at $10 to $13 plus a $0.99 booking fee. It was closed September 14 to October 12, 2026 for overseed. Our Riverview golf course guide explains who can play.
Just south: Fort Mohave and Mohave Valley
AZ-95 runs south from Bullhead City into Fort Mohave and Mohave Valley. Huukan, the former Desert Lakes, is flat and tree-lined with water on several holes. El Rio is the longest course in the Mohave Valley at 7,143 yards; call 928-768-3574 before you plan on it. Los Lagos is a Ted Robinson Sr. desert course; ask about conditions after the 2025 storm. All three keep Arizona time, like Bullhead City. Our Fort Mohave golf guide covers them.
Across the Veterans Memorial Bridge on Aztec Road, Mojave Resort is back in Nevada and on Pacific time.
Why golfers base in Bullhead City
One clock for most of your golf. Six of the eight courses within 40 minutes of the bridge keep Arizona time. Staying on the Arizona side means your hotel clock and most tee sheets agree. Only Mojave Resort and Rivers Edge in Needles run on Pacific time. Our Laughlin time zone guide explains the winter hour.
Closer to Laughlin Ranch and the courses south. From the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bullhead City, Laughlin Ranch is about 10 minutes and Riverview 3. The hotel is listed as a Laughlin Ranch Stay and Play partner; confirm the package exists when you book.
Monthly winter rates. Vista Del Sol RV Resort, a Roberts Resorts 55+ park, publishes $1,061 standard and $1,200 premium a month for January to March 2027, and $972 to $1,050 for October to December 2026. Riverview RV Resort is an owner-lot park: you buy a lot or rent from an owner. Furnished winter rentals in Bullhead City and Laughlin were listed at about $2,100 to $2,500 a month, often with three-month minimums. See Bullhead City RV resorts.
The casinos are still close. Casino Drive is a few minutes across the bridge for dinner, shows and the Riverwalk. Black Bear Diner on AZ-95 is a standard pre-round breakfast stop.
Booking Bullhead City golf
Laughlin Ranch books online through the club site, its Chronogolf page or the club app, and GolfNow and TeeOff also list it. The booking window is not published. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead or pay 50%, and no-shows are charged in full. Dress is a collared shirt, no denim and soft spikes, and outside food and drink are not allowed. Chaparral books through its own site or by phone at 928-758-3939, and Riverview through GolfNow or the pro shop.
From November to mid-March, remember that every Bullhead City golf tee time is on Arizona time. A group sleeping on Casino Drive with a 9:00 tee time at Laughlin Ranch needs to be in the car by about 7:45 by the hotel clock, allowing for the drive of roughly 10 minutes.
When to play Bullhead City golf
