TimberCreek Golf Club, Daphne, AL, is a public 27-hole Earl Stone club about 57 minutes from Gulf Shores, with three nines (Magnolia, Dogwood and Pines) that play 7,046 to 7,222 yards from the Golds at a 132 to 137 slope. Pines/Magnolia is the hardest pairing, Dogwood/Pines the easiest, and fees ran $39 to $89 in October 2026.

Its other draw is a 180-day online booking window, the longest public tee-time window of any course in our Baldwin County golf data. This guide compares the three nines, lists tees, fees and booking rules, and shows how TimberCreek fits a Gulf Shores golf trip.

What is TimberCreek Golf Club Daphne like?

Twenty-seven holes of rolling pine and hardwood parkland with wetland preserves, hillier than anything near the beach. It is a genuine 7,200-yard test from the back, and every combination slopes 132 or more from the Golds. The course was not renovated, but management changed (now Bloom Golf Management) and recent reviews mention a new cart fleet.

Which nines should you play at TimberCreek?

All three nines are par 36. Here are their lengths by tee.

Nine Gold Blue White Green Red
Magnolia3,6793,3843,0742,8032,575
Dogwood3,5033,2032,9622,6262,441
Pines3,5463,3093,0392,8452,579

Magnolia is the long, hilly nine, with the biggest elevation changes. Its 2nd hole is a 448-yard par 4 from the Golds, the No. 1 handicap and widely called the toughest hole at TimberCreek, and its 4th is a 598-yard par 5. When Magnolia is played as the front nine, it slopes 141 from the Golds.

Dogwood is the shortest nine from every tee, 3,503 yards from the Golds.

Pines sits between the other two from the back tees, and is actually the longest nine from the Green and Red tees.

And here is how they rate as 18-hole combinations (USGA; Magnolia/Dogwood rows confirmed against the database in October 2026).

Combination Gold Blue White Green Red
Pines/Magnolia7,222 (74.5 / 137)6,693 (72.2 / 132)6,113 (69.3 / 127)5,648 (67.4 / 117)5,154 (65.2 / 113)
Magnolia/Dogwood7,182 (74.4 / 136)6,587 (71.7 / 132)6,036 (69.2 / 125)5,429 (66.6 / 114)5,016 (64.7 / 110)
Dogwood/Pines7,046 (73.5 / 132)6,512 (71.1 / 128)6,001 (68.7 / 123)5,471 (66.4 / 112)5,020 (64.3 / 108)

Men's ratings shown. Women's ratings from the White, Green and Red tees run 74.0 to 75.0 / 125 to 130 (White), 71.1 to 72.4 / 119 to 124 (Green) and 68.5 to 69.6 / 114 to 119 (Red).

Our pick: if you are a strong player, ask for Pines/Magnolia, the hardest and the one with the most character. If your group has mixed handicaps or you are playing 36 that day, Dogwood/Pines is the gentler, shorter option.

The catch: in October 2026 and March 2027 the online tee sheet only showed Dogwood/Pines rounds. It is unclear whether Magnolia is in regular rotation, so call 251-621-9900 before you plan around it.

How much does TimberCreek Golf Club Daphne cost?

On October 27 the exact switch points were $79 until 1:54 PM, $59 from 2:39 PM and $39 from 4:09 PM. The booking system lists these as a "walking" rate type with no separate cart fee; third-party listings say carts are included, but confirm with the shop.

Interesting detail: the March 2027 rates were the same as or lower than late October 2026. Spring is peak season nearly everywhere else on the Alabama Gulf Coast.

The $99 Creek Card and memberships

If you will play TimberCreek twice or more, look at the 2027 Creek Card:

  • $99 for the year.
  • 30 to 50% off green fees, and a free first round.
  • Range bucket with each paid round.
  • Twilight from 1 PM instead of later.
  • Guests pay $10 over the cardholder rate.
  • 14-day booking window for cardholders.

At a $79 morning rate, the free first round alone covers most of the cost. Platinum membership is $349 a month or $4,000 a year (individual), with a 30-day window.

How do you book TimberCreek tee times?

  • Public: 180 days ahead online through foreUP. On October 22, 2026, March 2027 times were already bookable.
  • Platinum members: 30 days. Creek Card holders: 14 days.
  • By phone: 251-621-9900, and the way to ask about the Magnolia nine.

A six-month window is unusual. You can lock in a spring-break weekend morning in the fall, long before the 7-day windows at Rock Creek and Lakewood open. Our Gulf Shores tee times booking guide compares every course, and the spring break golf in Gulf Shores post covers the busy March dates.

TimberCreek is the longest and, on Pines/Magnolia, the hardest public 18 on the Eastern Shore apart from Lakewood's Dogwood. Rock Creek, the other Earl Stone course, has better reviews and the 2nd-hole drama; see the Rock Creek course guide and our Rock Creek Golf Club Fairhope post. Lake Forest, also an Earl Stone design, is the shorter, cheaper neighborhood option nearby; see the Lake Forest course guide and our Lake Forest Golf Club Daphne guide. For a slope ranking across the whole area, see hardest golf courses in Gulf Shores.

Food, practice and rules

  • TimberCreek Grille: breakfast and lunch daily, open to the public.

  • Dress: proper golf attire (scorecard); no specifics published.

Who should play TimberCreek Golf Club Daphne?

  • Strong players who want length: every Gold combination is over 7,000 yards, and Pines/Magnolia is 7,222 at 74.5 / 137.
  • Planners. With a 180-day public window, you can book TimberCreek before any other course in your itinerary and build the trip around it.
  • Repeat visitors and snowbirds, who can make the $99 Creek Card pay off in one or two rounds.
  • Late-day bargain hunters. The 4 PM rate was $39 to $44 in October 2026 and March 2027.

Mid and high handicaps should drop to the White tees (6,001 to 6,113 yards, 123 to 127 slope) or the Greens (5,429 to 5,648 yards, 112 to 117), where the course becomes far more playable. And if conditioning matters most, read the latest reviews first.

Is TimberCreek worth it?

Conditions have drawn mixed reviews in recent years, though 2026 reviewers say it is coming back. What you get for the money is 27 hilly holes, a real test from the back, fair prices that halve after 4 PM, and the ability to book six months out. It is worth it for a strong player on an Eastern Shore day, and especially for anyone who can use a Creek Card.

Where to stay and how to fit it in

From the beach, TimberCreek is close to an hour each way. Drive times below are free-flow estimates.

The Grand Hotel showed about $591 to $596 a night for January 5-6, 2027, plus a 15% resort fee (seen October 2026, a snapshot). Hampton Inn Foley showed from $180 for one October 2026 night, with free breakfast.

At Fairhope, the nearest NOAA station, January averages about 62°F highs and 37°F lows, so winter frost delays are possible; book mid-morning. October averages about 81°F and March about 72°F.
