Guide emblem: Grand Cypress golf now: the Cypress and Links courses at Evermore, and who can book

Grand Cypress golf today means two Jack Nicklaus courses at Evermore Orlando Resort: the Links Course, his 1988 St Andrews homage, and the Cypress Course, the old Grand Cypress 27 holes rebuilt as one 18. Both are public. Non-guests book up to 60 days ahead, while Evermore and Conrad Orlando guests get preferred rates and earlier tee times. The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress no longer has golf of its own.

That is a big change from the Grand Cypress many golfers remember, so this guide explains what closed, what each course is like, who gets perks and where to stay. Facts were read from Evermore's golf page on November 4, 2026; no dollar rates were published.

Old listings and reviews still describe the 27-hole layout, so be careful with anything dated before 2024. Our closed golf courses in Orlando guide covers other courses that changed.

The Cypress Course

The Cypress Course is a parkland Nicklaus layout with tropical landscaping, mounding and water, built from the old 27 holes. It is par 72 and about 7,000 yards from the back; ratings and slopes are not in our files. The research calls it newer than most courses around Disney, with details and prices still thin. Read the Cypress course guide.

The Links Course, formerly the New Course, is Nicklaus's homage to the Old Course at St Andrews: double greens, pot bunkers, a burn and a stone bridge, and firm, open, windy golf. It is par 72 and 6,773 yards from the back. The research calls it the most unusual course in the Disney corridor and a good change of pace for a buddies group that wants something other than another lakes-and-palms round. See the Links course guide.

Which Grand Cypress course should you play?

If you have one round, the choice comes down to what else is on your trip.

Play the Links Course if the rest of your week is Disney, the Waldorf and Shingle Creek. Those are water-and-palms resort courses, and the Links is the one round in the Disney corridor that plays differently: firm ground, pot bunkers, shared greens and wind. Bring a game that can run the ball along the ground.

Play the Cypress Course if you want the newer layout. It is the longer of the two at about 7,000 yards and, as a 2024 rebuild, it is the fresher course; the research notes that details and prices are still thin, so ask the shop about conditions and tees.

Play both if you are staying at the Conrad or Evermore. With guest rates and earlier booking, the two courses 3 and 7 minutes from the Conrad make an easy 36-hole stay, and Disney's Lake Buena Vista course is 10 minutes away for a third round.

For families with young or new golfers, Disney's Oak Trail, a walking nine with junior tees, is the gentler option; see Orlando golf family vacation.

Who can book Grand Cypress golf, and how

Both courses are open to the public, with three tiers of access in our files:

  • Public: book up to 60 days ahead through Evermore's booking link or 407-239-1904.
  • Evermore Orlando Resort and Conrad Orlando guests: preferred rates and earlier booking.
  • Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress guests: not mentioned on Evermore's golf page, so no perk is assumed. Book as public.

For January to April, open the 60-day window as soon as it reaches your dates. More on booking systems in Orlando tee times.

Golf near Grand Cypress

Grand Cypress sits in the middle of the Disney-area resort courses:

Pairing the Links Course with Magnolia or the Waldorf on back-to-back days gives a group two very different rounds. Disney World golf courses and the best golf courses in Orlando put them in context.

When to play

November and early December are dry and mild, with NOAA normals of about 78F in November, but some Disney-area resort courses overseed then; overseed dates for Grand Cypress were not published in our files, so ask. January to April is peak. June to September is cheapest, with afternoon storms on 14-17 days a month, so take a morning tee time. The Links Course is open and exposed, so wind matters more there; March is the breeziest month at MCO by NOAA normals.

Yes, as Grand Cypress Golf at Evermore. The Links Course stayed open, and the old North, South and East nines, which closed in November 2019, were rebuilt by Jack Nicklaus as one 18, the Cypress Course. Evermore's golf page sold tee times on both courses in November 2026.

Can the public play Grand Cypress?

Yes. Both courses are open to the public, and non-guests can book up to 60 days ahead through Evermore's booking link or on 407-239-1904. Evermore Orlando Resort and Conrad Orlando guests get preferred rates and earlier booking.

Do Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress guests get Grand Cypress golf perks?
