Green-fee ranges: Lake Havasu Golf Club: Desert West and Desert East rates and memberships

Lake Havasu Golf Club is a 36-hole club in Lake Havasu City, the former London Bridge Golf Club, with two courses: Desert West and Desert East. Anyone can book at the public rate, $94 before noon on the West and $82 on the East for 2026/2027. Winter visitors can cut that sharply with the VIP card or a seasonal membership.

This guide covers both courses, the full 2026/2027 rate table, the memberships that matter for a winter stay, and the late-October overseed.

The two courses at Lake Havasu Golf Club

Desert West is the original. Its front nine opened in 1967 and back nine in 1969, the town's first course, built by Robert P. McCulloch Sr. to help sell land. The club credits its first professional, Johnny Allen, with the design "in part." It is a traditional hillside layout above the lake with water hazards and sand bunkers throughout, and the tougher of the two.

Desert East was approved in 1975 and opened in 1977 because the West was so busy. GolfPass credits Lawrence Hughes. It is shorter and more forgiving, with narrow fairways, bunkers, a lake that touches three holes, and city and lake views. The club's own page calls it par 72; GolfPass and other cards say par 71.

Both share the clubhouse, the Lake View Bar & Grill and the pro shop. Fairways and greens are bermuda, overseeded with rye in winter.

Lake Havasu Golf Club rates for 2026/2027

The club posts one undated "2026/2027 Season Rates" table, with no separate winter table, no season dates and no note on carts. Seen on the club rates page on October 27, 2026:

Rate West before noon West after noon West after 3 PM East before noon East after noon East after 3 PM
Public$94$82$50$82$76$48
Local / emergency services / military$78$70$48$76$68$46
VIP card$75$67$46$67$60$44

The live Quick18 sheet on October 28 and November 3, 2026 charged $82 public and $69 VIP on the East, slightly above the $67 VIP figure on the rates page. Rates change, so check the sheet.

Two value points. After 3 PM the West drops to $50 public, but in midwinter that leaves only about two and a half hours of light. And couples or higher handicaps who want an easier day get the East for $12 less than the West before noon.

The VIP card

The VIP Discount Card costs $209, or $189 if bought in the September pre-sale. On the West it saves $19 a round before noon ($94 down to $75), so it pays back in about 11 morning rounds. On the East it saves $15 before noon. For a two-week trip with daily golf, it is worth pricing.

Winter memberships

For a stay of a month or more, the seasonal memberships are the club's winter-visitor option. These are from the club's membership page, read October 27, 2026:

Length Individual Couple
1 month$1,125$1,625
2 months$1,925$2,675
3 months$2,525$3,500
4 months$2,925$4,025
5 months$3,125$4,250
6 months$3,425$4,625

What each membership includes, such as carts or booking privileges, was not published, so ask the club before comparing it with daily rates. There is also a Premier membership: $3,000 initiation plus $249 a month individual or $349 family, on a 12-month commitment, with rounds at $25.

For more on season deals along the river, see winter golf passes in Lake Havasu and Laughlin. In Needles, Rivers Edge sells a 3-month pass with cart and range for $1,200.

Overseed: which course is open in fall

The club overseeds the two courses in turn so one stays open. On October 27, 2026 the public Quick18 sheet showed East-only times for October 28 (40 times) and November 3 (23 times), and no West times on any date checked from October 28 to November 5. The Arizona Golf Association's 2026 schedule lists both courses with dates given only as "Contact," and a directory says the West closes "a few weeks in October."

No reopening date for Desert West was published. A November 2026 reopening is expected but not confirmed, so call 928-855-2719 before a late-fall trip. The Laughlin golf overseed guide covers every course.

Booking and rentals

Public tee times are on the Quick18 sheet (lakehavasu.quick18.com); members book on a separate sheet. The booking window is not published, but the public sheet shows a week at a time, so seven days is likely.

The pro shop rents TaylorMade sets at $80 for 18 holes and $40 for 9, with no 18-hole rentals after noon. Lessons and clinics are offered.

Home2 Suites Lake Havasu City7 min, 1.9 mi
London Bridge Resort8 min, 3.2 mi
Islander RV Resort11 min, 4.6 mi
Havasu Falls RV Resort17 min, 8.6 mi

London Bridge Resort gives no guest rate at Lake Havasu Golf Club, so book golf separately. Havasu Falls RV Resort listed an $800-a-month special for November and December plus electric (seen October 2026).

Other Havasu golf

Iron Wolf Golf & Country Club, the former Refuge, is the other full-length course in town: a hilly Palmer design with a Toptracer range, about 12 to 14 minutes from the main Havasu hotels. Bridgewater Links, the nine-hole course at London Bridge Resort, has an unclear status for 2026, so call first. The Island Golf Club at the Nautical closed around 2018. South of town, Emerald Canyon near Parker is about 40 minutes away.

Read the Iron Wolf guide, the Lake Havasu golf overview and where to stay in Lake Havasu for golf. The Desert West course guide and Desert East course guide have more detail.

Plan it on the map

Open the Laughlin golf map to see both Lake Havasu Golf Club courses with every course and stay from Laughlin to Havasu. The $30 plan builds a golf trip around overseed dates, or a whole winter stay with a weekly rotation that can mix the West, the East and Iron Wolf.

Questions golfers ask

Is Lake Havasu Golf Club the same as London Bridge Golf Club?

Yes. London Bridge Golf Club is now called Lake Havasu Golf Club, with the same two courses at 2400 Clubhouse Drive. The older West course is now Desert West and the East course is Desert East. The date of the renaming was not found.

How much does Lake Havasu Golf Club cost?

The 2026/2027 season rates are $94 before noon, $82 after noon and $50 after 3 PM on Desert West, and $82, $76 and $48 on Desert East at the public rate (seen October 2026). Local, emergency services and military golfers and VIP card holders pay less. The rates page does not say whether a cart is included.

Does Lake Havasu Golf Club have winter memberships?

Yes. Seasonal memberships run from $1,125 for one month to $3,425 for six months for an individual, and $1,625 to $4,625 for a couple (club pages read October 2026). A Premier membership costs a $3,000 initiation plus $249 a month individual or $349 family on a 12-month commitment, with rounds at $25.

Is the VIP card worth it?

For regular morning golfers, probably. The card costs $209, or $189 in the September pre-sale, and cuts the West's before-noon rate from $94 to $75. At $19 saved per round, it pays back in about 11 morning rounds on the West.

Which course is harder, Desert West or Desert East?

Desert West. It plays 6,466 yards with a 127 slope from the Championship tees, against 6,140 yards and a 118 slope on Desert East. The East is shorter, cheaper and friendlier for higher handicaps.

When does Lake Havasu Golf Club close for overseed?

The two courses are overseeded in turn so one stays open. In 2026 Desert West had no public tee times from October 28 to November 5 while Desert East stayed open. No reopening date was published; call 928-855-2719.

How do I book a tee time at Lake Havasu Golf Club?

Public tee times are on the club's Quick18 sheet at lakehavasu.quick18.com; members use a separate member sheet. The booking window is not published, but the public sheet shows about a week at a time. You can also call 928-855-2719.
