Windance Country Club, Gulfport: rates, twilight, booking and aerification dates

Windance Country Club in Gulfport is Mark McCumber's 1986 semi-private course, open to the public online up to 14 days ahead. The 2026 rate is $110 for 18 with a cart in peak months and $90 in winter and high summer, with $85 from 2 PM in late October 2026. It closes for aerification on June 1-4 and August 3-6.

Recent reviews rate Windance Country Club in Gulfport the best-conditioned public-access course in Gulfport, and it is a firm, pine-lined test at 139 slope from the back. Windance Country Club rates for 2026

Cart is included in the online rate. The live tee sheet showed $110 before 2 PM on October 28 and November 7, 2026 and $85 from 2 PM between October 25 and November 7, 2026.

Other ways to pay less:

• GolfNow Hot Deals. Prepaid Windance times for October 17-27, 2026 ran about $59 to $110. They are refundable only if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead.
• Associate memberships. Monthly memberships ran $105 to $225 a month by age bracket, for locals and long-stay snowbirds.
• The replay. A same-day second 18 is $45 in peak and $25 off-peak.

Twilight at Windance

A tee time from 2 PM saves $25 against the peak rate ($85 against $110). In late October, a 2:00 to 2:30 PM start still leaves time for 18 holes with a cart. After the clocks change in November, light gets shorter, and a late start may mean the nine-hole rate is the smarter buy. In summer, the off-peak months of July and August come with highs near 90F, so an early-morning tee time is more comfortable than twilight.

Booking Windance tee times

Book on the club's own EZLinks sheet at windance.ezlinksgolf.com, which runs from today to 14 days out. Two phone numbers are in use: 228-832-4871 (Google listing) and 228-314-2100 (listed with the Unlimited Golf Package on the club site).

For spring and fall weekends, book as soon as your date enters the 14-day window. GolfNow also resells times as prepaid Hot Deals that sometimes undercut the club's rate, but read the 24-hour cancellation rule first. For a group of eight or more at Windance Country Club in Gulfport, book consecutive times on the same day as soon as the window opens, and decide early whether everyone wants the $85 afternoon rate or a morning start. The Island View Unlimited Golf package

Island View Casino Resort in Gulfport bought Windance in 2007 and has since redone the landscaping and added drainage and irrigation. Its Unlimited Golf package started at $99 when we checked:

• Double occupancy; price varies by day and tee time; tax extra
• Prepaid, refundable if cancelled 72 hours before arrival

Island View has 974 rooms in two hotels and no resort fee, and it is about 27 minutes from Windance by our routed estimate. Players Club tiers also give discounts on Windance green fees. Because Windance sells public times too, the package is a value play rather than the only way in. Compare it with the other casino deals in Biloxi golf packages.

Aerification dates and conditions

The 2026 rate page lists two closures for aerification: June 1-4 and August 3-6. GolfPass reviewers mentioned punched greens in June 2026 and verticut, sanded greens in July 2026, so the weeks after each closure can be bumpy. If you have a choice, play Windance in spring or fall.

Greens and fairways are bermuda (variety not published). No overseed policy is published, and whether the course goes dormant in winter is not confirmed.

The layout and tees

McCumber's course is rolling, pine-lined parkland with lakes, inland north of I-10. It has hosted Ben Hogan and Nike Tour events, per the club site.

From the Blue tees, the 139 slope is the highest on the west side apart from The Bridges and The Oaks tips. Water and pines are the main hazards. Seniors who want a shorter course can drop to the White/Green combo (5,844 yards, 121 slope), and the Green/Red combo carries a 123 women's slope. Dress code: collared shirt, no denim, soft spikes only. The clubhouse has a restaurant and bar.

Windance through the year

In Gulfport itself, the Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo fills the harbor area on the July 4 weekend, and Cruisin' the Coast slows US 90 for the first full week of October. Windance is north of I-10, so the beach-road traffic matters mostly for the drive from a beach hotel.

Getting to Windance

Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport (GPT) is about 10 minutes from downtown Gulfport, which makes Windance Country Club in Gulfport an easy arrival-day or departure-day round. The Hilton Garden Inn by the airport runs a free airport shuttle and is about 22 minutes from the course on our routed estimate. From the Biloxi casino strip, allow about 41 minutes via I-10.
